Most interesting!
I’ve lived in Bradford 74 years (minus Navy & school) so I’m still learning!
Thats why I know so little about knives. Case & Zippo products were what you dug through in a drawer, looking for a pen.
As a kid my best friend‘s Dad was Zippo art director, another was Zippo’s President. The guy across the street, worked at Case (? he wore a suit) The relationships go much deeper and are current. I’m not dropping names mind you, that’s just small town stuff. Everybody worked there or the refinery.
Im actually embarrassed for not knowing more. You folks in this forum are the cure! THANK YOU!
(I’m splitting hairs here, but it would be “Tuna Crick”)

The name Tuna Valley refers to the Bradford, PA area where the Tunungwant River runs through. Locals call it the Tuna River for short, and therefore the area is known as the Tuna Valley. Originally in very early 1900's, during the merger of C. Platts' & Sons Cutlery with Case Cutlery and while the new factory was being built, they needed to keep selling knives. In 1906 they ordered in various knives from Germany, and stamped them Tuna Valley Cutlery. So that is the origins of the brand.

Are you located in that area of Pennsylvania/New York? If so you definitely need to start collecting them! :p
