Thanks my friend. I made the knife from a 100 year old locally used sawmill blade, the handle is local black Walnut, and the Beaver was local too (poor fella))). A friend is a trapper and gives me tails that he cleans up a bit and splits for me. Used as rawhide I'm pretty sure a bullet would bounce off the stuff :D, wicked hard, has to be sewn wet.

Well, that is so inspiring, my friend. The nessie is one of my favorite knife shapes and you did a fantastic job on the whole outfit!! The ...hatchet as well...I sneaked a look at your pictures ...again.

IMO the Nessie is the best skinner there is. I've been playing with the dropped handle to get the right angle of attack on the blade, this one is very nice feeling in the hand. One of this winters projects is a "Metis trio" A big friction folder, a double bit hawk and a nessie.
