I rescued these two Old Timers from the junk shops a few months back. The big 125OT was so caked with red rust I thought it would be a write-off, but it cleaned up alright (the speckling on the blade is actually pitting, though.) It'll make a good companion when hiking weather comes back around. The broken tips on the little 34OT reminded me of a story about my grandpap, so I decided to try my hand at regrinding them.
There's something pleasant in putting cast-off items like this back into service. In fact, the 34OT kicked a perfectly good jackknife out of my pocket after I took this picture; I just didn't want to put it away!
