There is just something about the slabs on Queen's Dan Burke Barlows that tickles my fancy.

Have a nice sunday, fellows :)

Lionsteel Opera in D2

Scout Knife made by E.R.N., Solingen with nice jigged bone handles

Pens make up the largest single pattern in my collection, (about 25) so far, here's a quick pic of a few I had on the table.

All these knives are between 50-90 years old, all are in carried near perfect shape, all bought for under $10 at either a yard sale or flea-market, (the only two exceptions being the bone handled Case, got that at an estate auction for $3 and the Schrade/Wurlitzer, bought on EBay for less than $20) my point here is of you look and are more educated than the people selling them, you can still get great deals on traditional patterns.

You just gotta be patient and sometimes if your real lucky, you find a diamond in the rough, as was the case with the black jigged bone 4 line Camillus, it was rusty, crusty and looked like hell, it was actually thrown in free b with another knife I'd bought at the local flea market. A little elbow grease and another fine vintage user for next to nothing or in this case nothing.

Starting top left and going clockwise...
IBERSON Twist Ring

Schrade CutCo Walden Twist Ring

Old pre Eisenhower Case XX Tested

Colonial Planters pen

Bastian Bros pen

4 line Camillus pen

Finally a Case M279 all stainless pen with a bail

Happy Sunday everyone :)

Very knice ;) Jack, I've developed a fondness for Maserin knives, I have a more modern stainless Damascus that I win from Totally Judy quite some time ago and I've always loved pearl, that open looks gorgeous, oh and happy Sunday to you to my friend, hope your weather holds out, enjoy your Sunday.

Thanks for the info Ted. That's the way to get 'em my friend, far more fun than surfing the bay! :) We should have a pen thread :)

Thanks Ted, the MOP is this one: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/1017122-Grandad-s-New-Knife! pictured here with an old English threepenny-bit given to me by ScruffUK, and dated the same year stainless was invented. Weather seems to be holding - so far! :)

^ Wow, the color and texture of the BF Trapper covers fits just perfectly with the leatherwork.
