Here is another piece I soon will be bringing to the Show in Helsinki, Finland.
It is one of my favorite knives I have made to date since it is a new approach for me in a few ways.
The knife is Twist patter Damasteel with a "Dremel-lathed" bronze rod countersunk into the handle.
The stand is bronze witha base made from the same piece of steel as the knife itself. Base is leather-lined.
It holds the knife at the very tip in a leather lined Damasteel "bead" and with a strong magnet. This makes it easy to handle the knife, yet it holds it securely in place.
The angle the blade is held at is infinitely adjustable with the matching small custom made torx tool I made for it.
Must say I really enjoyed making this set as it was all made by hand and it was challenging to come up with the solutions for the idea I had in my head.
I guess you could call it a "scalpel" in an adjustable stand... but I choose to call it Trebuchet.
Thanks for looking! Any and all comments and/or feedback are most welcome!
Regards
/Magnus
