The tweeners...which blade shape appeals to you, and why?

I have yet made a decision on which tweener to buy. They come in different blade shapes, which of them appeals to you most, and why?

Just trying to learn as much as I can from you guys, thanks.

All are really nice, But I'd have to go for the 16...Guess theres just something special about it.

16 here as well. I just prefer a drop point as opposed to the clip, and 5/15 blade shape doesn't appeal at all. Now I don't have the opportunity to handle most knives before I buy so those opinions may change if I had the chance to handle all three. There is something special about the 16 for sure.

Well it depends what for. My favorite large Becker is the bk5. Since I feel that blade shape can do it all. However when choosing only one tweener, the bk16 comes to mind first. Even owning the mini mag its great for the kitchen and wicked slicer, but picking only one I would have to go bk16. That's why it's been attached to my edc pack since I got it.

I've always preferred drop points, like the 16, but, since the debut of the 17, I've really been noticing the clip points. That 17 looks bad ass. Even though the handles on the shorts don't fit my hand well, I'll still probably end up ordering one. The drop points have a stronger point, good for skinning, easier to make divots in a fire board for a bow drill kit, etc. Probably better for batonning as well. The clip points are better for piercing, etc.

The ones that appeal to me most is the 17 and 16 by far.

the BK 16 is like a mini campanion or a companion to the campanion if you will

And the BK17 is the kind of clip point I LOVE!!!! I love the BK 7, 9, &10 but I don't like the clip as much as this one :D

The 17 is definitely my favorite of the three. I like how it looks. I've always been a Bowie knife enthusiast and I love a good clip point. I've been planning on my 17 to be my EDC when I get it. But ever since I got the Eskabar and then the 16, my view of drop points may be changing a little. I've been packing my 14 on my belt and the 16 has been going with me everywhere in my pack. I've been using it any chance I get. The drop points are useful as all get out. I imagine I'll love the FFG 16 just as much.

The 15 is interesting and I'm going to get one, but I'm not sure I'll use it for much besides cutting up my dinner and maybe subbing it occasionally for my 16 while doing camp chores. I've never been much of a trailing point knife guy. The only one I even own is my BK-5, which it turns out is a very good knife. So maybe I'll like the 15 more than I think.

16- Love it for the utility, one of best if not the best shapes for skinning/general game-use. Also strong.

17- Love it for the look, nothing beats a sexy clip-point for sheer badassery and style!

15- eh, it's a baby-5 ;)

I like how the 15 looks, I love how the 17 looks. The 16 looks to me like a scaled up version of the 11/4. I am going to probably get the 15 first, and a 5. They seem to make a real natural pairing for in the kitchen.

Going to probably get the 16 to pair with my 14.

I doubt either set would be my edc however I could see the 14/6 being a primary EDC set for me.

I think the BK16. For that size of blade for some reason I just prefer a drop. I really don't know why. Guess I'll have to do some soul searching. Damn, reminds me I gotta run to the brewery.

All of them for me as well. No cop out here, I like knives. Out of the 3 i like them in this order: 16, 15, 17.
