The Ugliest Busse On Earth Contest

Many pretty/ugly Busses in this thread
Last week I decided to start using my skeleton warden at work.
We have been using cheap moras, and they snap often.
The skeleton does the job! I'm sure ten moras would've broken if I should try the same things with them.

It's just a test to see if that size would be enough for my needs at work,
and so far it does very well. I'll bring in a DC/micarta at some time,
but don't know if I want to use the tan or the black one.

If I knew how to take pictures, you'd see that the edge has been a little deformed with dents and rolls. No metal is gone, though, and a little steeling would align it I guess.

I'll continue EDC'ing it, and it's gonna get interesting. Tomorrow we start a project that involves epoxy, and that usually means that we'll clean the equipment with acetone.
It's gonna be a nekkid skeleton.

and the jason mask...........is that for face protection or identification purposes?:D

Yeah I love my bears too!
I found them in a small store that sells curtains and pillows, and was kinda surprised to see them there.
Especially since the place was in the middle of nowhere.

There's a question ! Does the logo STAY after the coating is removed ???

I've only stripped one (an ergo outlaw), but the logo remained on it. It is a laser etching on most of the new ones, such as this HOFSH:

I'm working on the skeleton like crazy to try and make it ugly.
I've driven it through really dense plywood with a small sledgehammer,
used it as a prybar, removed nails from pallets with the tip, scraped paint,
hammered it into a sheet of steel, used it as a chisel and many other things.
Last night I took it home to clean and sharpen it. The only thing that showed some wear, was the edge that had been dulled and the coating that had scraped off in places.
And this time I really tried! I don't think I'll ever be able to wear it out, and certainly won't manage to get it ugly enough within the deadline.
The project gives me many strange looks at work, and even my boss came over and asked what kind of knife I had and where I bought it.

My Skeleton warden looks worse than that after using it to throw into a metal door for one night. The edge rolled pretty good while breaking the glass widow of the door, and I managed to stick it about 1" deep with a single throw. . . yes, alcohol was involved. :D

Hopefully your boss will become an INFIholic like us all. . .

Well I'm out of the game, as I had "a blast" at work today...
It came out pretty nice I think, and there's no sign that I ever used it.
I'll just have to continue spanking it at work, and maybe some day it will show some real wear.
Unfortunately our blasting gear acted up, so the results could've been even better.

Here it is with a friend from the other side.

I should have kept my basic #9. I would have won for sure. I know what it looks like to see INFI spark from a hammer blow, and how it feels to have it hit you in the face. Repeatedly. Eric posted the pics for me about four years ago, but by now they are in the archives I'm sure.

WARNING :D

None of these is beat up enough!!! C'mon, it is worth intentionally breaking a SMALL USED Busse  to win that mirror!!!! The GUARANTEE, remember??? :) If you drag a Busse behind your car for about 10 miles at 35mph, that should only get you into the top 5!
:D ;) LOL

valleytinworks, maybe a contest time extention might get some more damage done???

I just put ALL of my beaters in the MAIL to AZ... IF my HUNCH is CORRECT, (I hope not!) 1 of mine will win this contest!!  (I really REALLY hope not!!!) Good luck all!

less than a week to go........ get busy folks....

Well I need a month before it is the right time of year to go hack down half of Sonoma County with my FBM.

Too bad...
My buddy owns a pulp wood farm in Mississippi and I was going to loan him my FBM for his next work trip but he left and forgot to come by my house first. He could have used the hell out of it and then I could have finished off its beauty treatment in February. Well next time.
