The Ugly Knife Thread

Maybe for Sasquatch. That handle is freaking huge

If you use a hammer or saber grip with no gap between thumb and the knife handle, sometimes even 5" long handles are not enough. I have medium sized hands but my hand covers the whole length of the handle on that knife.

For many people that kind of handle shape is more secure, safe and comfortable than smaller, more rectangular handle shapes.

I know it's for a particular task but damn that's an ugly knife.

I actually have one of these, although I'm sure the lanyard is gone.

They do look a little funny, but the ergonomics ain't bad. This was my first step "up" from MTech junk. I can't compare the edge retention to anything, because all it got used for was cutting plastic shrinkwrap. I had to "unzip" pallets of boxes in a hurry, so the lanyard was a secure retention that was also very fast to deploy and stow.

I'm not looking for a fight, understand: this thread is all about opinions, and the Cliphanger isn't the sleekest knife in the world. But it functioned well enough that I can overlook form.

"Hater Tears" knife lube, thats pretty good... I dont like their knives but Ill give them credit for that one.

I always wondered:
- once a person grows out of listening to "I hate my parents metal" aka. Korn, what is the next logical step in bad taste? "QTRMSTR" seems about right....

Quartermaster knives are like some monkey screwed a turd, the turd had a baby, the monkey ate the monkey/turd baby, and then puked out a knife. But I'm sure the fit and finish are nice, lol
