The ultimate gentleman folder?

I like the Seb over the Mnandi as I prefer the one-handed opening. For the ultimate gentlemen variation, the Annuals are hard to beat IMO and look much better than the current inlays.

Benchmade's runs of the 705 with the wood inlays was another top for me.

And the Spyderco Kiwis and Kopas with inlays were classic. I miss those knives. :(

As mentioned throughout this thread, I also put the vote in for William Henry, well made knife, very 'Gentlemanly' if ever there was one, but their prices certainly are aimed at the more well jacketed Gentleman these days, some are really up there in price for sure.

I've owned many of them over the years but that is history, just have a photo of my previous collection, probably my favourite one of theirs was the B15 model, the Tom Brown model, lovely blade shape and handle on that one!

Most of these are the T10's which I would consider more pocketable;

Any slipjoint really is a true ultimate "gentle" mans knife as its humble to those around you when performing cutting tasks

Looking through this thread it appears that William Henry is generally well liked. I agree and as far as production gentleman's folders go, you can't go wrong with WH. The B12 is my favorite model but the E10 is a good value. I'm also a fan of CRK both Mnandi and small Sebenza.

The thread title is the "ultimate" gentleman folder. My all time favorite custom folder maker is Johnny Stout. I have a couple of his Baron models.

Although I can't bring myself to carry this one:

I will carry this one:

If anyone is looking a great custom folder that won't break the bank, you should check out the folders made by Bruce Bingenheimer. He makes a gentleman's flipper that is smooth and beautiful as the come. They are also reasonably priced, comparable to a CRK.

Another vote for William Henry. When someone says gentleman's knife, IMO my mind goes straight to WH with no hesitation.

another vote for spyderco air.

I see multiple mentions of it already, but how are you guys carrying it? I'm using the leather pouch for fallkniven dc3. :rolleyes:

A small Resolza from Sardinia, where they are made one at a time by craftsmen. This one made by Senior Osai and sons, Pattada Sardinia.
