Arabian...We talkin Arabian or Bactrian Camel?
Ok, I'm on his mailing list. I'm a little confused. He's not a BF dealer supporter, at least not for the last couple-three years. How is he involved in this years forum knife? He goes by many names... Tater Salad... The Chosen One... but most people know him as "Gunstock Jack".
Since he would be volunteering his time and not making a profit, he is doing it as a member, not a dealer.Ok, I'm on his mailing list. I'm a little confused. He's not a BF dealer supporter, at least not for the last couple-three years. How is he involved in this years forum knife?
Thanks, I might take you up on that depending on how it plays out this year. Just a shame that the last few have required jumping through hoops for. The few I have from years gone by, were just as simple as ordering from any dealer that ships to Canada. Still don’t get why a couple won’t. I’ve read about import laws and restrictions, as long as it’s not a restricted material like ivory, (not sure why anyone would want elephant ivory anyway?) there’s no reason a slipjoint can’t ship here. To date I’ve never had any knife traditional or modern seized by customs, delayed twice I think but that’s it.If you have any trouble with getting a knife shipped up to Canada, let me know, I’d be happy to help. I’ve sent knives up there before without any issue.

Who’s that looker in the little brown dress on the left? The only hoop we had to jump through last year was waiting patiently while Charlie risked the ire of CBSA, crossed the border to his mail service, came back with the knives, and reshipped them to us (then having to quarantine himself for 2 weeks). I definitely didn't feel put out
Can't remember hassles for the other forum knives getting shipped up here, mind you I've skipped a couple.

I agree along with a small compass in the handle cover!it needs a banana on the bolster![]()
If everyone who orders a knife added an extra $1, it would more than cover itEasy way to cover the cost of the gifted knives is just add $X to the cost of each knife. Charlie will know the cost of each knife divid the cost of 2 by the total number produced and we are done. I wouldn't even mind if they added some extra for their troubles, it has to be a lot of work to get the design set and work the distribution.
I think that's a very reasonable way to handle it.If everyone who orders a knife added an extra $1, it would more than cover it![]()
