Thank you Aryan29, having been here 4 years I never knew this. Is this written somewhere? For the BF Knife, a member with minimum post counts(200-250) in the traditional sub forum.
Friends pls correct me if I am mistaken.
During 2019 polls it was:Thank you Aryan29, having been here 4 years I never knew this. Is this written somewhere?
Post count here, or on Bladeforums at a whole?
I’d love one of these because it’s a great frame and it represents Bladeforums.

A "Porch Member"...
is someone that values this sub-forum, and the friendships here, more than an annual knife.
Why would that make you sad? Why wouldn't people who are contributing members of this community take precedence over others who do not participate, or who seemingly only show up whenever a new knife is announced? Not trying to be condescending or insulting, but I don't quite understand your point of view.
Thanks bud, I’m hoping the rules are somewhat similar this year, but I hope that there is some sort of preferential treatment for the people that gather here more often than people like myself.During 2019 knife, it was a membership of minimum 3 months prior to the poll date, and 30 post counts spread over that period of time.
Thanks

I misunderstood a post from a quite prominent figure here and took it as if only a very exclusive group of BF members would get access to this 2021 BF knife. Obviously, that saddened me but I am happy that this is not the case. We're here because of knives, right?
You see, I recently discovered BF. I believe that I participate and contribute to this forum/the porchalbeit my knowledge of traditional folders is slim compared to the expert level I can see so many, many other members show on the subject. I'm enthusiastic and still learning and I guess a bunch of other new members are too. I get that with the growing popularity of GEC there could be some that will join BF only to get hold on a forum knife but to insinuate that new-comers is just up to that is a bit too much.

Edit: I'm not trying to be condescending either. If it seems like that we are starting a heated discussion it is most likely just the excitement rollin' through this thread.
You too, my friend.Have a good weekend mate.
I do believe you're right..."club knives" were still on the table when they nixed SFOs. I would assume the BF knife would fall under the club knife category. The way I remember the "no more SFOs from GEC" is, no more knives stamped with a company name other than GEC's, but club knives would still be a possibility.
Thanks a lotYour photos in the daily totin’ thread are a joy, my friend. I am grateful you’ve become a regular contributor here.
