The Vindicator

Certainly close in style of blade. I already have a Patriot but am excited about getting my hands on a Vindicator. I am leaning towards the Vindicator handle but will see once I have it and carve out some Micarta for it.

It's hard because I really like the big swedge on the Vindicator but I also like the handle of The Patriot. I'm on the fence, can't decide.

True! Man, the more I look at this one, the more I think it's a tough call. Haha I'm a fool!

Exactly! Buy both! ;)

I'm halfway there, why not hahaha I'd need to see more pics though. I've seen the ceramic satin on another, non-Emerson blade and it looked kinda cheesy; much less appealing than a machine brushed satin, but I would expect more from Ernie and crew.

I don't mean any disrespect to Mr. Emerson, but I've been wondering why he took the time and resources to develop two knives that look so similar. Did he like the patriot overall but decided it had some design flaws that he perfected through the release of another model? Any information and insight would be much appreciated.

Looks to me like the Vindicator has a good bit more belly than the Patriot, and maybe a bit more downward rake. Kinda' a Patriot morphing it's way towards a Commander. Damn, that means I gotta' have one.

Yeah, you'll come over to the light eventually, we just know it. There's nothing wierd going on here or anything, don't worry. Listen to the spokeslady.

Love the belly on it and agree with OM that it looks to be a patriot and commander hybrid. ..and that I gotta get one:D

I think it looks very similar to rhe OBS knife minus the blade coating. Pretty cool.

Are the Patriot/Vindicator models friendly for big hands in the 2-3 XL range? Thanks

You know, I'm no expert...But those models look like the friendliest things I've seen in a long time. I am willing to bet that they are friendlier in person and will most certainly accomodate a larger hand. I have no real experience holding these models, mind you. I sometimes just know things. It gets scary...

Here's the ubr commander, doing what it does best...
