The Walking Dead

Wife and I are both looking forward to it. I was really shocked that they killed Beth in the last episode!!!! Wonder who is next? If they kill off Dixon, fans will riot!:D

They might as well, they already killed off his knife :(

Oh well, at least it has a better chance of coming back than Beth...

I am going to be in New Zealand for a few weeks so will have to avoid all the "TWD" threads for a bit till I get home and caught up !!!!!!

can't wait, heres to hoping the Team Gemini makes a return, has Jerry or anyone spoken up as to why its not on the show this season

My wife actually likes it as well. I certainly like that. My son is only 6 weeks old on Friday, so by six weeks and 2 days he will have seen his first walking dead.

Killer.

When the Walking Dead first came out on AMC I watched about half the first season, but then since I am a big fan of NFL football, I stopped watching it when Sunday Night Football started. Skip forward a couple of years - I was browsing through some topics on the Defensive Carry Forum and ran accross a link with a YouTube review of a Busse Team Gemini Light Brigade Knife. Until then, I had never heard of Busse knives. (I've always been much more a "gun" guy than a "knife" guy).

After seeing the knife in the review and then looking at a couple of more and reading some posts about in in the thread on DC, I did a search and found Busse's web site. I did not even know initially that the knife was in the Walking Dead. I debated long and hard for a couple of weeks or so and then went ahead and ordered a TGLB in September.

From several mentions of the Walking Dead in the various posts I continued to read and from what I saw on Busse's website, I got curious about the Walking Dead. AMC had a marathon of TWD about the end or September or beginning of October I think it was, and my wife and I began watching. And got "hooked"!!!! I ended up ordering the DVD of season 1, since we had missed some of the episodes during the marathon as well as when it initially aired. When it arrived, my wife asked me why I hadn't just purchased ALL of the seasons, so I went ahead and ordered the rest of the series. Now we are both totally hooked. I even quit watching Sunday Night Football in favor to the Walking Dead for this current season! And before, NOTHING would get me away from watching Sunday Night Football!

So, from one innocent viewing of a knife review on a gun forum, I became hooked on both Busse knives and a TV series about people fighting to survive a zombie apocolypse!!!!:D

BTW, can't wait for my Crusader to arrive! I scored one, called with my credit card info, but haven't received my shipping notice yet.

Congrats on your score; you fared better than many of us. And now you can appreciate The Walking Dead threads here!:D:thumbup:

I found out about Busse before TWD but it was kind of cool when I finally made the connection. My first was a TGLB too, black/tan g10. Im behind a season or two, I need to catch up.

Congrats JDE101 on the Crusader... Sounds like now there will be 2 in SW Ohio.

Thanks. I'm about an hour north of you and just a little way north of Dayton. You do need to catch up on the last couple of seasons of TWD. In my opinion, the program got better after the first year. The characters evolved and were better developed, and that is what makes it so interesting. Their personalities developed and changed as the world situation became clearer to them and the challenges they faced progressed. Early in the first season I thought it was just another Zombie movie. But it is way more than that. I like the later Rick much more than the early Rick. I thought he was too much of a moralistic jerk in the first season or two, but he evolved into a much more pragmatic realist and a real bad ass the last couple of seasons. I don't want to give too much away if you haven't seen it, but one of my all time favorite episodes was earlier this year when he dealt with a certain villian and some of his cohorts in a church.:D I'm definitely adding this seasons DVD to my collection as soon as it is released.
