Unpacked last Friday's spoils yesterday afternoon, and the last knife that I picked up was the following:

According to Andy's description, it is a shank with a larger guard. I have to say that I am completely taken with the lines, the balance and the feel of this knife. I am also taken with the white handles of this knife, which I did not think that I would like. They really gave me that sense of purity as I unwrapped it. When I wrapped my hand around the knife for the very first time, I cannot describe to you the feeling that I got. It was an immediate, primordial connection to this piece, with the feel of the handles, the innocent and pure white handles, the grind lines, and the exceeding presence of the point. It was a connection that I have rarely had with an inanimate object. I was so looking forward to holding the Big Sneaky in my hand, which I opened first (which is totally awesome by the way) but this one was a complete total surprise to me as it was totally unexpected. I am now and forever in love, reminiscent of that March day in 1981 when I similarly unwrapped my wife on our wedding night. Ok, now I am getting weird, I know. I have had one other connection to an inanimate object that was similar, and it was with a Smith and Wesson Model 629 with a three in barrel and magnaporting (Trail Boss).
So, I have started this thread to see if I am normal or nuts. I own a lot of knives and a lot of guns, but there are only two objects where I have formed a connection to this level. Do any of y'all have similar stories about your Fiddlebacks? The one that was totally unexpected?
