A couple months ago I took my son to a Colorado Avalanche hockey game. They've installed new metal detectors at all the doors. I was taken out of line because my Leatherman Micra had scissors in it and we had to go back to leave it in the car.

So I don't think even scissors are acceptable anymore.

That's kinda disturbing. We're never gonna get back to how things used to be, not with stuff like what happened in China. People see that and they see the evil "weapon", not the evil person(s). Half the time I get asked why I'm carrying a knife like it just doesn't compute. When middle aged men (my peers mind you) look at you funny for carrying a tool, you know it's goin down hill. Doesn't matter. As long as it's legal for me to do so, I'll carry my knives and multi-tool. I really don't see how people get by without them.

Edit- and Btw thurin, did I see that it was you that scored that Carver? If so, we aren't friends anymore. :mad:

Kidding of course, but I thought Andy stopped making those. I had a chance one time to trade some folders for one and I boned out. I'll never forgive myself for that. :( Do you carve?
 
I think I know where one could find a full height carver wearing a tuxedo. PM me Strig' if you're interested.

It was me that scored the Carver. It's one that I've been holding out hope for and has been on the top of my "to be sharked" list. One seems to pop out every 3-4 months. I've been dabbling in carving, mainly working on spoons and such. My next project is going to be a Kuksa if I can find the right chunk of wood.
 
I think we've strayed a bit from the original "Wasp" topic. Sorry about that McVeyMac. It has been an interesting conversation though.
 
Back to the Wasp. The Wasp got new pants today:







I enjoyed the conversation as well. This is now a sheeple friendly knife looking like any other small to medium fixed blade while wearing the pants.
 
Thurin, YES your paypal funds are now grandfathered in and earmarked for knife purchase. That is clearly stated in the universal "man-ual" …

And Will's idea about staging some phantom outbound knives will work … I've never gone as far as actually shipping empty boxes, but I have made a point from time to time of pointing out sales or trades I've made, and letting it be known that a certain new knife was purchased with those funds … when it was true, of course … :cool:

I've almost deleted my Bushfinger collection pics several times... If they were seen all together... whew... LMAO edited....... :)

Good advice Edge. I've already been doing the "remember those y I sold, well they paid for x". This one made lots of headway: Wife: "Why are you selling those knives?" Me: "Cuz we need a new dishwasher and Mules can pay for it."

Those pics are a smoking gun Will. I'd be careful with the "pairs of heels" bit. It's never worked for me. :)

Now we know why it has been so hard to get collection pics out of you. If she ever walked in while you were filming, there would be Bushfingers flying everywhere in a mad rush to conceal them. You could cut the leather pockets right out of that pool table trying to stuff Bushfingers down them.:eek:
