The Watches CRK People Wear...

I feel so left out :(. Just turned 18 and bought myself a Seiko black monster, hopefully an omega and a submariner one day.

That was the first auto watch I bought. Got it at the Ft. Campbell PX before I deployed. Wow, that was a little over 10 years ago.

CM, due in part to your posts I went and checked out a few submariners and seadwellers. I like the submariner a lot, not the price tag so much tho lol. Do you ever wish you hadn't got the date with the cyclops? I like having the date but I'm not sure if I like the cyclops or not.

I have owned both. The Sea Dweller is out of production. The Deepsea replaced it and is hilariously huge. I dont really mind the magnifier. Here is a pic of my old SD with a Burn custom swing guard I owned at one time. That knife still holds my personal record of most I've paid @ $900.

Deepsea is what I ment. The size was ok but I didn't like the "original gas escape valve" wrote around the face. I like the clean look of the no date submariner but don't want to regret not having it sometime down the road. Not like I'll be getting one soon so ill have time to mull it over

It is not hard to remove the magnifier from a Sub.

I asked about a crystal swap. They told me that if I did and ever needed warranty work I'd either have to put the original back on or send the original and Rolex would put it on before returning it. Said they wouldn't touch it otherwise if altered.

Love seeing the older Omega watches. My parents bought my brother an Omega for his college graduation in 67. He died in Nam (4-70) wearing that Omega. Not sure which model it was. Good memories and bad memories. Such is life. Didn't mean to bring down this thread.

You don't need to do a swap. The lens is held on by a glue and can be popped off.
