The "Whatever" Thread

The personal camp seems like an underrated model the more and more I look at it.

also finished up our move from hell yesterday and for once during this move everything went great! Between flat tires trouble shooting a radiator leak, emergency dental procedures, getting in a fender bender, and a couple other small delays it’s been nothing short or hell! But yesterday it all went like it should with no problems what so ever.

Dang I wish funds weren’t so tight or I’d snag that muddy camp or personal camp!

That muddy camp is a real looker. I'm trying to see if I can work out a deal on that one but I'm after the rule 9, personal camp, and mud turtle. It will help me kick start the service I plan to offer in February with John.

Jeeze, moving stinks enough already. The only part of moving I enjoy is being done with it.

yeah it’s finally setting in that it’s over and I finally feel the sleep deprivation from the past 3 weeks

I may have to order a muddy camp once the money re accumulates from the move. Mud turtle handle and the cool blade profile of the personal camp just sounds and looks like a winner!

I think I’d like something like this in 3/32” O1 and micarta scales with a slightly different handle shape.

I think John just made something similar, though with a little more drop to the point. I could send him the sketch of my blade and he could drop the handle on there, or I could sketch something up more fitting of your interest, just because. It won't be something I'll offer but I already have the blade shape to sketch and I think I can get a handle out pretty quickly based on what I already have. Basically, cutting the palm swell out and rounding off the back.

I'll see about getting something sketched up this afternoon for you. I have another few handle ideas I need to sketch up to life size anyway and see about getting some wood models mocked up.

I’ve actually been toying with a hybrid design myself to add to my jds1 group. The blade length will be a little shorter than the JW knife above and the handle will be similar to the South Fork Cabin Knife. I’ve made a few sketches after you guys taking about trade knives. I’ll post my final sketch next week.
