The wife, my peanut and the C word

My Case Trapper popped of asking "Can he field dress a Deer"? And the Peanut replied "Maybe not, but when was the last time a purty woman called you cute?".

Well, if ElCuchillo can skin a gator with one...

"Kin you skin griz, Pilgrim?"

"Ah kin skin anything you kin kill."

no....goobers* are an acquired taste....everyone likes peanuts!

*goobers- southern slang for boiled peanuts

Who would want to boil perfectly good peanuts?

More importantly, why?

Dang, typical Yankee response ;) Never mind the fact that I live in the NYC. But, there is no substitute for boiled peanuts. If you go to a state fair or a farmer's market on a saturday morning, it's a must have item. It'll chang how you think about peanuts forever. I promise :)

God Bless

do they just dump them in biling water or have a prosess? Shelled?

jeez, next you all will telling me they're dumping perfectly good pistachio's in the kettle!:D

They boil unroasted peanuts in the shell and if you don't eat them immediately they turn to slime ....shudders... and as far as me being a Yankee, I will have you know I am a Native Born Son of Texas with a Certificate of Citizenship in the El Paso Empire signed by Chris Fox, the Skipper of the Rio Grande and the Keeper of the Wagon Tongue.

Shelled. Boiling peanuts is considered to be a high art. Alots people do it but a few get it right. They boil it in water, salt and some secrete ingriedients. Somebody whose more qualified should spliain it. Maybe Sm2 might know a thing or two bout it.

Absintheur-As far as being Yankee goes. I can't say much about it with me being in the "deep South" of Manhattan. ;)

Excuse me but is that Secret or Secrete?

I dont mind secret ingriedients.

But secrete ingriedients does not sound appertizing.
Like the difference between sweet and sweat....

And yes one of these days, I will buy a yeller Peanut in CV; even if they are cute.

*sigh*

I can't leave you kids alone for 5 minutes without you making some kind of mess.

Pay attention will ya...*wink*

One uses a Case Peanut to open a bag of salted peanuts that go in a 6 1/2 ounce glass bottle of coke.

Half of them salted peanuts go into the Coke you bought for that Southern Belle, sitting on the wood bench in front of the store.

Other half goes in your Coke.

When she leans over and give you that kiss, that is when things get to boiling with Case Peanut carrying Southern Boys...

*wink*

sm2....not Coke...RC, good ol' Royal Crown ...

As good with peanuts...roasted peanuts that is...as they are with Moon Pies. You could sit and eat lunch and work on the wood chain with the Peanut you used to cut with, not the ones you ate. The Peanut makes for a fine whittlin' knive.

In my old Central Florida stomping grounds, all you have to do is drive down the road aways. Someone will have a stand up, selling bo'led peanuts, honey, and seasonal fruit and veggies.

Very true, mnblade, they are everywhere here in Central Florida. Specially in South Orange Blossom Trail.

I really want to get a Red Bone CV Peanut, but all I have around here is the yeller CV, which is also cool. I just have a thing for red handles on a knife. Sheeple friendly, inviting, and easy to spot if dropped in the woods, as opposed to my beloved Bone Stag, which would blend right in.

Have you considered the Case Ruger Series with red G10 scales?

*sigh*

It is an RC and a Moon Pie.

Now where in the heck does one get peanuts out of that? *grin*

There certainly is a lot of truth to the old saying - "we are a common people divided by language".

Coca-Cola for Peanuts, RC for Moon Pie, Root Beer for Floats, ...

Ya buy 'em books and send 'em to skool and they still dumber than bricks...

*smile*
