I just received several copies of my new book,
"The World of Art Knives" Vol. III !!

It is a marvelous book, my 11th volume (!) and I managed to make it
quite a strong departure from the past volumes....
The variety of knives and makers is vast and should have wider appeal!

The shipment of books will be with the distributor
Dave Harvey, "Nordic Knives"
towards the end of April 2015.

David -- will Dave Harvey have the books at the Blade Show? If not hopefully I can get him to bring one so a friend can pick it up and return with it to us. They all are "appealing" to us. Thanks again for your efforts in this regard to make available to collectors a vast number of great knives if only in images for among our collections.

Murray, phone or email Dave for such issues....

I'm really glad you're going through Nordic this time around, David.

I've had three of these books and they are "World Class" works of art themselves
I will be getting a copy

Here is one page from a whole section in my new book on Russian Modern Knife Art.
These are three neck knives by Konstantin Chernov (Russia)...

All the best,
David Darom (ddd)

David when I ordered a dagger from Dave the other day I asked him about the book and while he will not have the books at Blade, one of his staff will be able to bring me a book so I will order it from him as soon as he receives them from you this month but I don't know how many that person may bring so I guess it will be up to those ordering to determine. Looking forward to it.

Sounds good Murray. I hope that Dave's man-at-Blade will
be able to accommodate more knifemakers/collectors at BLADE...

A large section in my book is devoted to 12 custom knife makers
that I felt have a great "Passion For Knifemaking".
Their knife art and detailed personal stories are displayed on 4 pages each.

Here are 4 randomly chosen pages from this 50 page section in my new book;

Nice to see that my wife's knife from Kevin Casey has been included in the book. It has a prominent display spot and is a terrific piece to view and handle.

Looking forward to this one. I love the last two in the series. I am 100% positive that Dave Harvey will not let you down. Good choice.

There are Threads on the BF that discuss knife Display Stands...
In Russia the Knife and the Stand are usually hand crafted as one amazing set.

Here is one such Knifemaker, Eugeny Sorokin of Russia, one of many
with their knife art on display in the book, who creates truly amazing
Knife & Knife-Stand Displays.

What do you think?

Here are two facing pages from an in-depth 8 page section on
Roger Bergh's (Sweden) steel and knife art.

One of four displays of Scandinavian knife art in the book...

Impressive stuff David. I am amazed by the Masamune and Muramasa piece. Stunning, I would love to see a wip of something like that! Or at least know how many hours he had in it. Such impressive craftsmanship.
