Here is a page I like very much in my new book - from a section dedicated
to the carving art of Oleg Doroshenko (Ukraine)... Just look at the hand
carved imaginary skull on the handle end.... Enjoy!
All the best,
David Darom (ddd)

Adam just brought ours home in the boat. Exquisite! So refreshing to get a well-bound and edited book with high quality paper and crystal clear photos. I was delighted to see the section on Rodrigo Sfreddo since he is one of my mentors and there are photos of his work I hadn't seen before. It was an honor to be able to write the text for our Ladysmith section. Thanks to David our work is now immortalized and will be a pleasure to look back on this project years from now. I'm going to spending a leisurely hour enjoying the huge variety of art knives from around the world tonight after work. Thanks for another great addition to the knife lovers library!
I received my copy last Friday and trying to take in a little every night.
I'm really enjoying it. Will share some thoughts after I've gotten through it all.
Just received my copy book and it is just exceptional !! Extremely well edited and put together. Very high quality and truly a keepsake for the ages. I want to give you my sincerest thanks for including me in this publication. Quite an honor to be in this group and I am inspired to do even more creative work! Please continue with your books. They are an important contribution and record to world of custom knives.
David, received mine yesterday and have to say like all of the other Darrom books it has been finished to a very high standard.
I obviously had a quick flick through it, now I just need some time to absorb the contents which I will start doing tonite!
SINCE I do not make knives but create high quality books
about hand made knives by wonderful contemporary knife makers,
I really would like to hear your feedback, comments and thoughts
about my latest book, my 11th volume on this subject....
Suggestions for my next book are very welcome too!
I received my copy of Davids The World of Art Knives III several weeks ago and have been slowly taking it in, kind of savoring it so to speak. First off, David has resolved the distribution issues he had with his last book as I knew he would. I received both my copy and the copy David donated to the CKCA two days after placing my order.
As far as the book, another winner! Its pretty amazing how after eleven custom knife books David still manages to capture and hold even the more seasoned enthusiasts interest. The World of Art Knives III is a nice combination of information and beautiful functional art images. David does an excellent job of covering a broad spectrum of Art knives and those who create them. I enjoyed the book cover to cover as I did the first two. I would recommend this book to anyone interested in collectable knives and/or art objects in general. Thank you David, as your books help bring custom knives to those who may not experience them otherwise.
