The worst knife you have?

Spyderco Stretch.

I loved it when I bought it, but I got 3 months or so of EDC out of it before it started to break down, not long after then it was retired to the toolbox. I never used it to pry, never threw it, never battoned or did anything stupid just used it for EDC tasks.

WOW that's no bueno I just recently acquired a Stretch from caseguy here on the forums and its been in my pocket every day I just sharpened a chip out of the blade not sure how that got there. But I am curious what happened to yours to make you dislike it?

I have a Schatt & Morgan slip joint that is a piece of junk. I may have some other lame knives, but the Schatt & Morgan jumps to mind in this category. Although the poor grinds on my Emerson Mini CQC-15 may place this knife in the running as well. Nah, the Schatt & Morgan is truly the worst.

The little black Schrade that came free with an order from knifecenter cause I entered a code I saw in one of their emails. I use it to cut tape. I hate tape.

Don't have it any more, but when I was a kid the "coolest" knife I ever found was a $15 back lock folder with a picture of the rocky mountains on the handle. It was awesome in my 10 year old eyes, but looking back I can remember issues that would now indicate the crapiness of it. I think the plastic handles actually broke at one point. It didn't lock into anything metal, either

SOG Twitch 2.
I love it. And thats why I hate it.
I like it alot, and want to carry it.
The bladeplay scares me away like I was between a mamma bear and her cubs.

Out of all the knives that I own today I would say the worst has to be my Boker Magnum Khucom. The screws in the scales rattled right out, and the scales fell off about 45 seconds after I started beating on a tree branch. It is also made of 440a stainless , but is just marked 440......kinda deceptive considering most of the others in the line are made from 440c.

Buck 110.

Far too heavy for such a weak knife. Blade's too thin, brittle and of crap steel. Poorly ground edges, blade play out the box and substantially more once used! Weak lock that closes during hard use. Dated design that only appeals to enthusiatic collectors. Gaps all over the back and between the blade and spring. And overal a crap knife that doesn't deserve to be sold under the guise of it's former self.

Oh and one of those cheapo ebay 'rambo' knives with the hollow handle! lol such a bad knfie it's unreal, but it cost a shy 3rd of the Buck 110 so..

The worst knife I own is the Ka-bar ZK Acheron. I just can't put an edge on the damn thing, no matter what I do, and the ergonomics are so horrible it's offensive.

Actually, it's either that or a cheap hollow handle Chinese "survival knife" that I bought for $25 when I was a dumb teenager.

The Gerber 06 FAST Tanto that I received as a gift.

Hah, my friend was telling me how she bought one of those, carries it, and that it's her "baby". She didn't know who Spyderco or Benchmade were when I mentioned them, and considered Cold Steel to be "garbage" because "they're kind of like, weapons", despite that she was bragging to me about how she used her 06 to "scare some dudes".

Not really a bad knife, Hogue ex02, but developed blade play within a month.

has hotspots from clip though. Some people like black blades, I usually don't, hogue didnt do a great job at it. Markings are not centered and paint looks to be it was running out when they painted the blade. Swedge on spjne makes it uncomfortable to use thumb for detail work.

I have a set of IKEA steak knives that are horrendous. I retired them...although they make for awesome butter k Ives now!

Blackie Collins assisted "letter opener."

The plastic frame + button lock are so flimsy that all merchants now list it as a letter opener instead of a knife.

It is unsafe to cut much more than paper.

I had one of these years ago when they were being made by Meyerco. It was called the Stingray. It was a stinky turd back then and I can only imagine how bad it is under the Maxam moniker.

I own a few cheap chinese knives that would definitely be considered my worst. Theses are no name brand knives that I bought at gift shops when I was younger and just went of looks and basic feel.

the worst knife I own is my Farberware cleaver. I probably paid 20 bucks at wallyworld for it, and I should have known better, but its just supposed to be heavy and solid, right? well, holding an edge would be good too. anyway, I used mine to be-head some chickens, and on number 3 or so the handle and blade separated. it said full tang on the package, but the tang in fact is a skinny sub a couple inches long, and it was pressure fit into a soft plastic handle. I gorilla glued it back, and sometimes use it for slicing potatoes. it actually does hold an edge o.k.
I looked into sending it in for a replacement, but their charges were almost the same as the cost of the knife, and I wasnt really that into getting another one, to tell you the truth.
