The ZOMSTRO

Wow, just have to say that this is one impressive chopper. If you are a big knife guy do yourself a favor and get one of these while you still can for $50-60. I'd bet when these finally clearance out from everywhere, you will be lucky to find one under $150. There are many places already trying to sell them at $120. USA steel monster chopper for $50???? Get one and hurry.

I bought a plastic storage bin at the Dollar Tree (for $1) and cut them out and sanded to refine the shape. I have enough material to make at least two more. They also did have some other funky colors including zombie green if that is your thing :)

The Zomstro is one hell of a chopper. I had to get rid of a gnarled bunch of shrubs, small trees, and some sort of climbing vine to get ladders set up to roof my garage, and the Zomstro made short work of them all. I keep intending to mod the thing some more, but it does the trick fine as is.

Just got mine today. What a hunk of steel. I want to strip mine, what's the best way to etch the stampings before stripping. i assume that's what you want to etch.

I'am not sure what's the best way. I posted a pic how to using a 9 volt battery, 2 wires, 3 alligator clips and salt water in a thread Jarosz Globetrotter. I've deepen the etch on several of my knives with this method and if very simple as long as you have a good battery enough salt in the water I've never measured the amount of salt I use. Don't be afraid to add more if nothing happens fast. It should not take more than 15 minutes to finish this knife. Remember to make sure to put the positive lead to ground and the negative to the Q-tip with the salt water. Check out the pics . Remember the Positive go's to ground the negative to th salt water Q-tip :D I said this again cause I made the mistake of putting the positive to the Q- tip and the neg to ground and that doesn't work :)

Really like what you did there.
All I did was expose the pics but thanks :D if you read the other post that 1066vic posted will explain that it was Murphnuge and TM Hunt that did all that Fine work on that Zomstro

My Zomstro came today, and i am really impressed with this knife. It shaved the hair on my arm. I am going to strip it and have some fun with it.
If you are on the fence about getting one, get one you won't be sorry.

Blast it! All y’all made me look at a Zomstro! I fear that my next purchase order may include one of those ‘zombie’ versions, which have that horrible handle color. Now I’m wondering if I should get this or handles for my Becker... Decisions...
