The ZT0770 has withstood the course of time and is still an EDC stalwart...

I’m glad you know it.
The ZT/Hinderer slicer is great knife and probably my next ZT purchase but it’s far from “the best production knife in the world”
Again, in your opinion, but then you don't offer an opinion as to what you think actually is the best production knife in the world...

There is no one.
Way to take a stand. Okay, what do you think is better then? You stated it was far from the best production knife in the world. That implies that you think there are many better. I'm not a fanboy, I don't even have the knife.

The more I think about it, the more I want to order the ZT0562 Hinderer Slicer....🤣

I don’t have to take any stands. This is pointless conversation that was carried here every once in a while.
‘Best knife is determine by your personal preferences, we have different criteria for wha is “best”
‘That’s why, what is best for me, not necessarily will be best for you, see the earlier AO example showing the difference in our preferences.
‘They are TONS of knives tha are better built and designed than your example, I’m not even going to start giving you models, simply because I’m not intending to continue this conversation, I’m sorry my friend, you need to find somebody else to engage…:thumbsup:

Breathe easy...in and out. Hold your breath for five seconds, then exhale for 7. Repeat as necessary. Take it easy, my friend.

Were the 0770cf non assisted, in the original Elmax, I would love it. Assist ruins it.

Other options? I'll keep it simple & say the 0808. Yup, discontinued...
TRM Atom (I've never touched one; but I'll add the Neutron, as well). Too expensive?...
Jump to the Hogue Ritter - full size or mini.
There are countless offerings that are every bit as good as the 0770 - try whichever ones you fancy. If you still want to keep the 0770 at the top of your list buy one. Throw a WTB ad on the Exchange - include your contact info - and I'll give you a good price on mine.

Buy a k390 Delica, or check out Ace, Civivvi, etc, etc

The only knives I care for on your list are the Civivi and the Spyderco Delica, but not the K390 version.

The Civivvi?
I didn't expect you to like any of my suggestions, we clearly have different taste in knives. Heck, I don't have - nor have I ever considered - a Civivvi knife. I only threw the brand in there because you seem to be looking for a decent budget knife, and I've seen lots of posts about them

The ZT0770 has withstood the course of time and is still an EDC stalwart. I'm not sure that any reasonable person would dispute that, but I think the question is whether or not the price tag of this incredible EDC has been scaring people away. When you really think about it, the Benchmade Osborne is also in this same category, but the price tag of these 2 knives have probably caused most people to choose inferior EDC knives.

I agree but I went through a whole assisted opening phase. Right now I on a year of PM2 carry and I am not sure I can go back to assisted

The 0770 is a great knife. It is one of my favorite ZT’s.

I mean, we could debate it, but I just think that price aside, the 0770 is one of the best.

I never said it was a stalwart of the ZT line, I just said it was a stalwart of EDC knives.

Opinions vary.

I mean the ZT0562CF Hinderer slicer is probably the best production knife in the world today, but I'm not paying $300+ for it...at least not right now.

That implies that you think there are many better. I'm not a fanboy, I don't even have the knife. *knives since you don’t have the 0562 Hinderer either 🙄

Your responses to other’s experiences now include “opinions vary”, but how can you even have one if you’ve never even owned the knives being discussed? You even started another thread asking about ZT’s and if they’re all hype so I’m curious if you’re just taking a different approach to getting some reviews or if you’re just stomping around?

Kershaw/ZT really need to reintroduce some of their assisted knives with KVT bearings. The 0770cf, 0350, 0357, leek, link, knockout, blur and a few others would benefit greatly from it.

Who am I kidding though….KAI won’t do it. I feel ZT as a brand has just stagnated for the last few years. Sad really.
