I'll join you Ron in the "just got a UTX-70 club".
I waited for something special to come out and am glad I did. I am very impressed with this little guy. Very solid and strong snap for a small light weight knife. Should be perfect around the sheeple. Even my wife liked it. I better hide it now or she will 'borrow' permanently.
Here is a pic stolen from Thebrightedge.
I love mine (Green Micarta/Stonewashed/Plain) and it's rock solid: no blade play, fires like a rocket, couldn't be any better, IMHO.......
Hawaiian tells the whole story in one sentence....... I've been tryin' ta get my wife to like ANYTHING knife related for the last 20+ years we've been 'hangin' around together' and finally something comes along that made her smile!
PS- She didn't even ask how much it cost!!!!!!! Maybe things are turning around....
the utx 70 is a great otf!!!-I was intrigued when I first saw the proto and kept bugging Bob at the Bright edge until they came out with a production -I can see myself owning a few of these-next maybe CF top-also a double edge would be nice and maybe even a Tanto blade!! -Tony
These knives are definitely a break in technology when it comes to their small size. I concur here, Robert at The Bright Edge is the man to call for Microtechs. A great selection and best prices around. It's always a pleasure doing business with him.
