theknifestore.com--ever use them?

I orderd a BK9 tan and a C.S. Trail Guide L. on 04/27. Got the e-mail with order number right away. Have been checking frequently for e-mail with tracking number saying it is shipped. Now i know it could take a while. Sent an e-mail through their site also. Will have to try the phone number tomorrow and se what i get. Prices are very good however.
 
I ordered a BK10 on 4/20. Best prices, but I haven't heard anything yet.

Anyone else?
 
Placed an order on 5-5-04. I guess a few of us are going to find out about their service.

I updated the thread referenced above.
I received a shipping confirm email yesterday. When I enter the tracking number on the USPS site, the message says that USPS has been electronically notified to expect a package for shipping. The record is updated nightly. I just checked again and it says the same message.
I placed my order about four weeks ago- see the linked thread above for details.
 
After the initial confirmation email I got on 5-2, I have not received any notification of shipment and my card has not been charged yet.
 
The USPS site still has the same message about expecting a package. So I don't know what's going on. I'll never shop at theknifestore again. :grumpy:
 
I know that the knife store does keep many items in stock. They place an order from their wholesaler after you order from them. This takes a little longer for the shipping, but as far as I know they are good people. I bet they will come thru for you (assuming the item you ordered is not in heavy demand and backordered).
 
I just checked the USPS site again and it says the package has been delivered! I haven't picked it up yet from my P.O. Box.
It's odd that the last message on the USPS site said they were waiting to receive my package. There was never a message saying it had shipped. Maybe they forgot to scan it when it shipped. I dunno. Anyway, I think that theknifestore has come through despite the complete lack of communication.
 
We ship using USPS Priority mail from time to time and we have learned that their tracking system is pretty much worthless. We have had instances where it takes 2-3 days for the item to even show up in their system and other instances where the item had already been delivered but their system never even showed the tracking number to be valid. I think it all depends on how the local PO processes the package.
 
I'm still waiting also. I think I may cancel my order based on some of the things I've read here. It has only been 11 days for me but there are far too many online knife dealers out there who want my money.

I placed an order in March and was sent a confirmation. a couple of days later I received an e-mail saying my product was temporarily unavailable. I was assured that my credit card would not be charged until the order was ready to ship. Fast forward to april 10th. A charge appears on my statement, so now according to the website my order should be here in 7-10 days. Fast forward to May 10th, 30 days later still no order. No answer at the listed phone number for the past two weeks. No answer to any of the e-mails I sent. You be the judge....looks like FRAUD to me!! I have started to process for a charge-back.
They took me for $114.10 and I am not going to go quietly!
 
On the 10th I contacted them. I had to call over+over for close to an hour for someone to answer. I probably called 400 times. I told them to cancel my order. Then I called my credit card and told them i cancelled the order (my card had not been charged yet). I called knifecenter.com and orderd my knives 2nd day air. I paid about $15.00 more with shipping. My order was here Wed.; 2days later. It was well worth the extra $15.
 
I am still waiting. I just sent an email asking about the status of my order. I'm sure they'll respond right away. :rolleyes: I tried calling but there was no answer.
