There can be only ONE!!!

I agree with Liu- Great Story!!! Just lost my mother in law yesterday at the early age of 64. Its really nice to hear such a beautiful story and its amazing that your daughter is with us today. And not only does he provide us with the most amazing blades on earth, but he is obviously a real good person-which is hard to find today. Live each and every day-like the way you were as a kid playing with a brand new toy.

For the new guys who haven't heard this story:

My then 21 year old daughter was lying in a nursing home in a vegetative state from a hit and run. Doctors were telling us she would never be any better. My custom shop Active Duty arrived. I took it to the nursing home, held it in front of her eyes, and told her I was storing it away until the time she could carry it deer hunting with me. I told that story on this forum. About a week later a package arrived with another, identical AD, and a note from Jerry and Jennifer saying that they wanted to replace the knife I had given to Kim.

That Active Duty is the number one candidate for the Busse that I will never get rid of.

(She made that first hunting trip with me two years ago, by the way. Not yet up to her pre-injury shooting standards, but with her .243 she can stay in 5" at 50 yards, so that's our self-imposed range limit at present on deer. Inside 50 yards, it's hers. Past 50 yards, it's mine.)

Nice. I remember that.

If I had to sell off all my Busse's and keep one, it would likely be my CABS. Now if I had to sell off every knife I own and keep only one, it would not be a Busse. It would be a folder. Hint Hint!!!!!!

C'mon, I'm a lady...don't try to make me choose!

But if push came to shove...I'd probably keep the Busse on my Ed Brown (the grips,) then go get the others back! (Just kidding...)

Wow. Hard choice, but my SHSH would probably get the nod. Not much that can't be done with it, not too big.

Phil Rose fully optioned PSK2 in carbon fiber with blaze orange G10 liners. Oh wait...this is a Busse forum...Hairy Carry LE 4.0 slightly modified with a firesteel recess on the spine like the one on a PSK2, hands down.

Some of you just don't play by the rules. For a SHTF scenario: Gladius. Anything else: Loaded Tankbuster.

CGFBM would be the last Busse to get sold if it were me. I love my ADs a lot though.

Another vote for the AK-47.

Basic 11, or my HOGFSH. Judging by the replies, Id say its time for me to whoop on my nmfbm some more, its just so freeking massive.

added: crap, forgot about cgfbm, thats the top choice and Im sticking to it

NMFBM all the way. It was a toss up for me between that and the AK, but I could not see myself getting rid of this beast.

It certainly looks like it is .... another rare one I had insufficient funds for at the time ... :(

For my part I am a bit like Dan here .... "only one safe" .... or .... "only one big box" would be my first thought ....

If I were really forced .... my choice would be my Nuclear Zilla .... although my NMFBM, B11, B9 and BWM LE are all part of the "inner family" of favourites ...
