Thickest blade you own

My thickest blade is a Busse HFSH-Proto .320 its quite the beast, and pointy and sharp too! :)

My Buck 650/890 is the thickest. Not sure of the precise dimension, but it's one beefy sucker!

Here? My Lamey War cleaver is a quarter inch, but back stateside I have an ancient pitted and patina'd meat axe from some butcher's shop. IT tapers out to over a half inch at the spine. Goes right through beef knuckles. :-)

My thickest is about 0.375" - but it is more of a chopping & batoning knife than a cutting & slicing knife. It weighs 26oz and is about 15" in total length.

The courier has just delivered my thick knife this morning, so I have measured the blade's thickness. Somewhere around the mid point the spine is down to 0.375" (distal taper) but near the handle the spine is about 0.425". This is definitely the thickest knife I own by far!

Here's a pic from the sale thread:

It's a 15" HI Ganga Ram.
Here it is next to my left forefinger:

Sorry the pic isn't better, it's hard to hold a D-SLR in one hand an a 26oz knife in the other and then take a good pic.

Of course it is important to remember to have an item that goes really well with a thick knife . . . a thin knife. The good thing with the HI Khukuris is that they come with a steel (Chakma) and a small knife (Karda) - so you have the tasks that don't need a thick blade covered.

My thickest is 1/3 of an inch, Scrapyard Regulator TT.
not sure if my kukri is thicker or not

I notice most of you are refering to fixed blades.
I have a custom folder from a forum knifemaker (R.Flaherty) with a .200 thick 3 3/4" long blade. Here's the actual link on the one I won with pics.
GOOD LUCK TRYIN TO GET ONE, I WAS VERY LUCKY THAT DAY!

VERY THICK in relation to the blade length and being a folder.

As far as fixed blades I have an old Barry Dawson 7" tanto, and I'm pretty sure he's famous for using 1/4" 440C with a great differential heat treat.
But my SOG seki-japan made 9" Tiger Shark may be the same too, if not slightly thicker.

My 3 ~~~ BK2's (1/4" ) and I don't think I would want any thicker knife as 2 of them do what I need done and the other one is Polished Special and will never
see the woods.!!!

I answered this post over a year ago. But there have been changes. The thickest fixed blade I have is 1/4" thick, or .250", and is an Ontario Ranger RD-4, along with an Ontario Ranger Falcon, and a Browning Comp. The thickest folder I have is an Ontario Hossom Retribution 1 at .200" thick.

I have an Ontario Ranger RD6 Signature Series, that is .375" or 3/8" thick, D7 tool steel. Pointy & wicked sharp. Here are a few shots of it compared to my Becker BK2, which is 1/4" thick. I have 4, 1/4" thick blades. BK2, Ontario SP8 & SP10 & SP Kukri. Also have a CS TrailMaster which is 5/16" thick.

My HI Hanuman by Sher The Tiger is .55" near the bolster. But it quickly tapers toward the edge and distally.

My Giant Chitlangi Bowie (same kami) is .45" for 2/3 of the length and 1/3 of the width. It's a slab. I dubbed it "The Herniator"
The pictured GCB is fully finished whereas mine is a "Villager", but the pic does illustrate what kind of mass I'm talking about.
