Thin EDC?

The Kershaw Chive has a blade that's just a hair under the 2 inch length that you are looking for. That's one to take a look at.

Got to put a hand up for the chive as well. Spring assist open is nice too.
And there is a blade stop, so it will not somehow get opened in your pocket.

Yep, here's another vote for the Chive. It's a 2" blade and I'd challenge anyone to find a thinner profile for the pocket. I've EDC'd this for nearly 3 years, where it stands in for the Delica for light duty kinda work.... mostly paper, slivers, and plastic packaging when purchased.

My number two, which sometime makes it's way into my pocket (though it's usually the Chive) is the SOG Twitch I. Same blade length, same addictive assisted opening, but sliiightly thicker, and about 0.1oz heavier. The Chive's pocket clip is stiffer and more secure feeling though, which is my preference.

happy shopping.

I sold my former EDC, a thin Benchmade AFCK D2 for my current fav- SOG Twitch XL in TiNi. Absolutely love it for everything but opening ammo boxes

The SAR knife is cool but sadly illegal
in Canada.

If you are of the understanding that the ring makes it illegal that is an untrue myth. As long as there are no knuckle dusters (D-guard bowie is NOT a duster) you are fine with a finger ring. As further proof of this I just got a Ringed Razel that customs opened and it was fine.

Back to the post- I definately agree with the Wharncom (and lesser the Subcom) for flat, light yet substantial folder that will get the job done.

Ring knives are a separate law from knuckle dusters. It's unclear to me whether that SAR knife has a metal tang inside that lanyard with the skull on the end. If it does, it'd be legal. If it doesn't, it wouldn't be.

And yes, Canadian laws on weapons are incredibly stupid and frequently ban things for no good reason. (Replica airsoft guns are "prohibited firearms.")
