"Thin is in!" Please recommend a HIGH QUALITY "THIN" folder.

A lot of the knives I'd recommend for their thinness have already been posted, but here are what I'd suggest:

CRKT Ripple/Eros
BM 530
Mercator
A.G. Russell Skorpion

This Mcusta is also very thin:

Here's a quick snapshot of a blue Ripple:

How do you like the CRKT? Looks sweet.

It was my first collection knife. I bought it because of its looks (very pretty, minimal, contemporary design with clean lines), its thinness, and its ingenious Fire Safe mechanism.
The only downside is its AUS-4 blade steel. For me, it's a drawer-queen / letter opener / fondling knife. Fun as heck.

Spyderco does make a lot of nice and thin folders, but they're also VERY sturdy.
My thinnest example would be my Caly 3.5 CF/ZDP. Talk about slicer.
An Endura or Delica may also hit the sweet spot.

Hi all,

Thank you all for the suggestions of all the beautiful knives. I guess I didn't do a good enough job of explaining what I am looking for in the way of thin (with a few exceptions). As beautiful as many of these knives are, I am looking for something with very flat/thin handles. I'd like to find such a knife with FLAT handles and (including blade) measuring no more than 1/4" over all thickness. The suggestion of the Al Mar Eagle is for sure on track and I will be checking that one out for sure, thanks. I tried to post a picture (cut & paste) of the very "flat/thin" model vintage Imperial FISH KNIFE I'm talking about but, my Computer won't allow this fuction (messed up computer). This old Imperial FISH KNIFE I now own is a very cool knife in so many ways however, I would love to find a new knife that is of higher quality/materials and is more "over built" (yet thin) and has a "locking" blade. Should anyone have a pictue of the vintage Imperial flat FISH KNIFE, please post. Thank you all for your excellent suggestions.

Regards,

The knives I posted photos of (Ripple/Eros, Mcusta Tsuchi small, A.G. Russell Skorpion) are all around a 1/4" thick (with clip removed, obviously):

The Skorpion is a 3.4" flipper that folds up into a ~1/4" thick lightweight little sliver that disappears into your pocket, for example.

Shootz, is your crawford the Assassin or another model? It's slick.

My favorite really thin folder unfortunately I can't EDC here in Oklahoma. I really love the thinness of my Kershaw Breakout auto. It's a fantastic slicer.

May be where you live in Oklahoma. There are several guys I work with, who work on Tinker AFB, who carry autos every day. One of them recently bought a customized Benchmade AFO and he edc's that. I see autos for sale at corner gas stations all the time, cheap chinese made autos, but autos none the less. I've done it a few times myself, carrying an OTF auto on numerous occasions. I just think the police are not going to harass you for it unless you are attracting their attention in a not good manner.

Hi all,

Thanks again for all the awesome knives! EvilG, I kind of got ahead of myself and didn't see all your excellent recommendations. Thanks for the info and pixs. I especially like the Japanese MCUSTA. The A.G. Russel looks very nice as well. I will be looking into those two models. I also very much like the Crawford solid steel handle front lock. Very slick! ToHell, that Benchmade looks very nice. TW, that's a classic looking beautiful CASE. HB, glad to hear you like your Spyderco. I have a PM2 which I like but, I'm kinda looking for something smaller and more along the lines of a "Gentleman's Knife". Thanks all. Keep em coming!

Hmmm... If they are active duty it's a different story, and I'm not sure about regulations on base. When I was active duty on Tinker autos were not allowed even in quarters. I talked to the previous OKC DA a couple of years ago about assisted knives, and he said that they are fine at least in OKC, but as far as he knew, the state restriction on autos was state wide.

And yeah I've seen autos for sale all over as well. You can OWN them and use them in your home, but not carry them in public. Again, I think that active duty military and law enforcement have exemptions to these rules.

Anything by William Henry!

Next to another very thin and light folder, the Kershaw Skyline:
