Kind of like "101 Things to do with Dead Cats". Looking for ideas. Just took a bunch to the dump yesterday. Wall paper, maybe.......

cheap supply of non slip strips for wooden steps. cat scratch post covering. i use an old but still somewhat useable belt to resurface my sharpening wheel instead of using the glue-grit method. it works better and can last longer.

How about Ed Fowler's suggestion? Leave them in an unruly pile underneath your buffer to slow down any flying blades of death:D

1. Suspenders, belt and cummerbund set? :D
2. Christmas bows and garlands
3. Tape them together for non-skid wrapping paper
4. Non-functional hula hoop (drives the kids nuts tryin' though!)
5. And of course, to tie up all the dead cats when you take them to the dump.

I hate throwing away my "broken-in" belts! I'm glad this topic got posted... I just knew there was a reason to keep all those belts! :D

Hey Guys...

I'm planning on making a spindle sander that uses 2X72" belts...

I've literally got garbage bags of the bloody things, some there is nothing wrong with them,, and would work well as a spindle sander...

Just have to get someone to make the bloody thing for me...

I cannot wait until Robert AKA Mete finds this thread:D>.

A good use would be to slice them up and use them for hand sanding operations.

I've been saying again and again not to become emotionally attached to your belts but I didn't know they had an after life !

I know somebody who removes the abrasive on the fine ones and uses them for polishing...
Mine seem to just attract spiders...
