There are a lot of outdoors items that I seem to pick up regardless of whether I need them. I may already have a dozen of this item sitting at home, but I'll still pick some up. I know I can't be alone in this, so I thought we could make a fun thread about items that you just can't stock up enough on. There are also certain items that I always carry with me when actually in the woods, in larger amounts than I likely need.

I want to break it down into two categories. First (1), let's list items that we like to just stock up on to keep on hand, for whatever reason. Secondly (2), lets list items that we like to carry with us into the outdoors in what might be considered 'excessive' amounts to others.

1) For me, I stock up on...
- Paracord!!!
- Jute twine
- Bandannas
- Blades (do we even need to list this one?)
- Pouches of every sort
- Bics

2) In the woods I can never have too much...
- Paracord
- Firestarting methods
- Bandannas

Please tell me what you can never have too much of!

In my cold and wet neck of the woods it is certainly warm clothing, preferably layers of warm clothes. The coldest I have ever been was a rainy and windy summer in the Cascade Mountains.

When I go hiking that is the first and most visible sign that another hiker is not prepared and is a victim looking for a place to happen.
