Things you don't like about your CR knife ?

Another vote for the old box here. The new gloss one is just too flimsy when trying to repack everything into the box. I don't see how a printed, gloss box with cut-out foam inserts could be more economical than the plain corrugated box they used to use.

Regarding the knives themselves, Sebenzas, (I don't own a Ti-Lock or Unumzaan) I honestly can't think of an improvement that I feel would enhance form/function for me. I may be picking up a Mnandi in the near future as well...

1. When closed, the edge of the Sebenza blabe is very close to the edge of the scales. I have been cut several times as a result when the meat of my hand presses in.

2. The factory sharpened edges could be improved.

3. The new boxes are terrible (please go back to the old style).

I agree with number 2

Pretty new to Reeve folders, but prefer the older boxes. Also wonder why there is much more available thumb pressing surface on the lockbar of my 21 than the 25. Sure there is something logical engineering/production reason for this, but if the 25's non-lockbar side scallop were cut down a wee bit more I could close, and open much easier. Like everything about my new Umnum, but find the (top)blade profile a bit bizarre. But that's what it is. All said, CRK folders my faves, and will continue to add to my collection.

The only thing l dislike is the fact the ly are as perfect as they are...... I want more

I know I am going to get blown up for this, but I would like to see a smooth unassisted flipper opening Sebenza. So much easier to deploy with either hand. I have a decent amount of Sebenzas and that is probably my biggest complaint.

I need more purchase to the lockbar on my Umnumzaan. The tiny little tab is not enough for the heavy tension. I can get it unlocked, but a slight cutout on the presentation side would do wonders for disengagement. It may affect the aesthetics some, but I think they could pull it off.

I don't like how I seem to be having a really hard time finding "the one"

might finally have found it this time though

I use the knuckle of my thumb to disengage the lock bar. More leverage, and less sensitive than the tip of the thumb. I do this with any frame/liner lock which is stiff.

For me, I would love to have the thumbstud on a $60 Kershaw Blur pressed into the crk. I get it... Suck it up yadda yadda is the argument for the thumbstud. But this thread is not about sucking it up is it.

The older sebenzas actually had a stud like this, I believe Michael Raymond also uses a stud like this on his Estrella. For giggles I took a benchmade stud and cut into it to create a 45 degree wedge stud like the blur. Put it on the seb and it was just awesome.

I considered sending my ZT0450 to Josh at RazorEdgeKnives to grind off the hump of the finger groove on the scales, a little bit at the bottom of the scales, and a little bit of the end of the spine near the tip to make it as close to a "Sebenza flipper" as I think I'm ever likely to see.
Instead I sold it and a few other knives to buy another small inlaid Sebenza.

I don't like the wait between buying one and when it arrives.
I just paid for one this morning from someone who happens to be around 100 miles away.
Priority tracking says it should be here tomorrow.
That'd be the quickest I've ever received one, but it still feels like forever...

Post a pic in the Anticipation Thread, so we can bite our nails with you! :D

the lock bar is super strong on my 25. But as soon as TNK has the one I want in stock I'll be ordering my first 21.
And I don't think it will have that problem.
Other than that the sebenza is the perfect knife for me.
Nothing is truly perfect but the sebenza very close.
