Thinking about a Para 2 Foilage green

I liked mine but once I replaced the clip:

I LOVE IT! A most awesome knife. Get one while you still can.

How did you replace that clip?

EDIT: O wait, is that something STR made?

Steve does do these but I did this one. Removed the old clip. Dremeled a couple grooves, inserted a Caly 3 clip and cut the old clip off leaving only the three hole base. Reattached the base with the three screws securing the wire clip into the groves. Only took an hour (or so;))

It's not a "pretty" job, but it works for me.

It looks great from this angle. I was thinking about sending mine in to STR to get a lowrider for tip up carry.

You're too kind. It really is a rough job. I'm sure you'll be happy with Steve's work. Everything I've seen of his is terrific.

got my d2 foliage green paramilitary today, this thing is beautiful. and it's scary sharp too right out of the box. i accidently fumbled it and it fell tip down on my knee cap, ouch. still bleeding. anyway i guess that means its sharp enough.

 Sorry about your knee, I have also been bitten my para, (it left two scars in one accident). Also as far as sharpness goes I recommend purchasing, if you haven't already, a sharpening system like the spyderco triangle sharpmaker. About an hour or so ago I touched up my para and a couple of other knives and got them all sharper than when I received them from the factory. Also the sharpmaker comes with a nice informative DVD.

Edit: Here is a pic of my para when it was all nice and new. (New lanyard, some scratches on the G10 and clip, and a couple of resharpenings since that pic.)

Funny you should mention that, I just got my spyderco sharpmaker in the mail today :D

I've been buying a bunch of spyderco knives lately so I figured of COURSE I had to get the sharpmaker also! It's great.

To tell you the truth, I really don't have much of a preference over the titanium one's steve does or the wire clips by spyderco. They perform about the same.
