Hi all!

I did discover a native seller who sells Zero Tolerance knives in such price that it comes cheaper to buy them from here and order from USA and pay toll's.

Now I do like ZT's 0350's specs other than Linerlock. Good sized, good blade steel, beautiful looking. Problem is that I can get ZT0200 for slightly more ( $14 more expensive) with ZT 0500 MUDD.

Now here comes the problem. I do like ZT0350's smaller size, S30V blade but I dislike Liner lock. and I can get 414 more either 0200 or 0500. Now I do also like 0500 as its mean looking (but ugly) good blade steel (still not quite as good as with 0350's S30V ), HAWK lock. But I did not see pivot adjustment screw in that.

How are ZT's 0350 and 0200's linerlocks?

Any input from ZT owners would be appriacted with con's and pro's of their knives and pictures of course.

can i ask why you dont like the liner? i mean, jesus that thing is thick

I don't have a 350 but I have a 301 and a 200. I'd advise you to buy the ZT 200 model, in my opinion it has a better handle than 300 ( so I infer than 350 ) and I like more the blade shape. Don't bother about the liner lock, it is well executed and strong enough.

I prefer the 0500 over all other ZTs I've handled. It's the only one that can be easily opened and closed with bulky gloves on (or even mittens).

It's not too hard to disassemble the 0500. All you need (in addition to a T6 bit) is two pieces of 1/16" rod (drill bits work fine). Put them in the spanner holes and turn. If you want to go really fancy, you can make a spanner using a drill and five-minutes of time.

The other ZTs are also very nice, but the 0500 is a no-compromise workhorse.

Considering all the hard work (chopping, batonning, serious mud, and rock abrasion) I've put it through, my 0500 still looks almost new.

The ZT0500 and ZT0200 are my favorite models and I actually favor the ZT0500. It may look a little ungainly, until you get it in your hand that is. If you are that close in price between them, I would get the ZT0500 and not look back! The liners are .080" thick and made from hardened stainless steel. That is as thick as some medium sized framelocks!

The ZT 350 is my favourite (price plays a part in it). It's just a comfortable knife, looks sweet, and the price/quality ratio is great.

0500 looks nice no compromise work horse for woods, hikes and in case I am called in active duty then in military stuff too.

I have full confidence in the 350s lock... the size/strength/weight combination is tough to beat. At around 100 dollars... to me, as an EDC that will see some good hard use, it is a great knife. The 200 is larger and heavier, as is the 500... not something I want to carry on a daily basis.

If you don't want a 0300, get a 0200. The liner lock is crazy thick and there's not much of a cutout in the opposite handle scale neither, which means that the lock will not disengage on you.

i have a 302, its a beast of a knife. pretty heavy though. super comfy. a/o isnt too fast. i really like it, but i need the $$ so i put her up on ebay. it makes me really sad i cant use it. i would love to put it through some tough use.

I'm rather confident the 0200 and 0350 have the same thickness liner. It might as well be a framelock imo.

Wow... your work is awesome! but I already knew that.. mind posting a pic of the RAM next to the MUDD?

Thanks! wanted to get an idea on size, was hoping to get a mudd eventually.. only thought they were much larger than that..

I really have a hard time calling the 350 a liner lock due to the huge size of the liners, Its more like a frame lock with scales.
I have a 500, its a tank. I would compare the size to the Strider AR or GB.

Hey Jamppa,

I did a review on the ZT 0500 MUDD. Ask a gold member to pull it up for you--you'll really appreciate it--it's in the reviews section.

Anything and Everything is in that review.

I currently own both the 0350 and 0200. The 0350 opens more easily one handed with the AO and flipper (very fast and snappy). The 0200 requires a little wrist flip to open one handed. The linerlocks on both are close to 2mm (1.9 to 2.1 mm) as thick as framelocks on smaller knives. In cold weather and wearing gloves, opening of either one should be easy. Like Dobson says, manipulating the linerlocks with gloved fingers could be a challenge. Under those circumstances, I think he's right about the 0500 being easier to close. Personally I don't own a 0500 yet. Someday, though. :D

Here are a few pics with the 0200 and 0350 side by side.

As far as pocket carry, the 0350 is slightly flatter and shorter and carries a little smaller in my left front pocket. I don't notice too much difference between them when I carry them, though.

If I understand correctly you can purchase the 0200 and 0500 for slightly more than the 0350 by itself. Is that correct? If it is, I'd get those 2 knives.

Like others have said, the ZT-350`s liners are *quite* stout....I think it would take The Pepsi Challenge against just about any liner lock out there, and probably a few frame locks, too....it`s an excellent value for the money.
