Thinnest Knife EVER?

The question is simple: What is the THINNEST folding knife you've ever seen, handled, or owned? The only stipulation is that I'm only looking for full sized folding knives. By full sized, I mean knives with handles large enough to fit all 4 fingers. (Under this criteria the Spyderco Navigator would be acceptable, yet the Spydie Cricket would NOT be acceptable.)

Please note the perceived built quality, size, and whether it's available in black coating. Also note the carry options (i.e. is there a clip? tip down/up?)

Remember: We are looking for the thinnest knives, not knives with the thinnest blades.

Thanks ahead of time.

To reitterate entry criteria, the "Thinnest Knife EVER," must be:
1. Ultra low profile (little to no pocket profile)
2. Foldingl.
3. Made with a handle that accomidates top 4 fingers. If there's no place for a pinky finger, then it isn't full size and therefore non applicable.

I'll start. :D To answer my own thread:
Benchmade 707. Damn fine build quality, despite minor horizontal play, 3" blade, <4" handle, Bk1 coating baby and a clip with tip up only carry.

Possibly the little Zippo Cut-About Lite. At least from what I currently have. It's the very opposite of sturdy. I might risk using it for cigars. I got it as a gratuity with another purchase.

One way to get a thin knife is to get a small one. I have a Benchmade Big Spender and a Spyderco stainless steel Cricket. Both are extremely thin, really the BM is a money clip knife, and both are framelocks. Coming up in size, the Spydie Scorpius is also quite thin, an all stainless lockback, a very strong knife overall.

Thinnest knife I've got is the Benchmade 3100 Auto Benchmite.

I don't have one myself, but the Funny Folders are rather thin.

The Mercator is really slim too.
Carbonsteel blade and a stainless lockback.
You could get the blade black with some vinegar or mostard :D

Thinnest knife I have is likely my BM 530. I have it in black, so the blade is partially serrated. Nice little knife, by no means a sharpened prybar through.

I had one of Dick Atkinson's little titainium folders.

Nice knife, just too small for me.

Thin and very light "gents" knife.

Thinnest one I've ever owned is my AG Russell one-hand knife. I don't have it handy but it's probably less than than *3/16" thick. Fairly sturdy, ~3" blade, handle edges are a little sharp when making tough cuts but you could always knock them off a little with a small file. Mine has some wobble in the pivot pin, I've been meaning to send it back for them to look at. The one-hand-close design is great.

*As noted later by jimmyjones the thickness is actually 7/32" (.218). Thanks jj

My William Henry, very thin handle, thin blade. A real cutter!! With the button lock very very smooth opening and closing, push the button and a flick of the wrist! Pocketclip is also very handy. Very lightweight. A great every day carry for normal life.

And it's ZDP steel. Sharpend it yesterday and it cuts like no other.

Check out Spyderco's Centofante designed knives (3 and 4), they have thin blades.

Opinels are probably the best known thin bladed folders.

SAKs are fairly thin, too.

Thats about the thinest knife I've ever had. Right on about the blade patina.

Also the Boker Titanium. Almost thin as my Douk-Douk.

The thinnest quality folder that I have owned is a Camillus EDC. It is .325 thick. Quality materials, and at one time there was a black version with gold accents sold. It is still my favorite small folder. It dissapears in your pocket. It is small and thin enough that I have carried it in the watch pocket of some of my jeans.

Does this include keychain knives?

Spyderco Stainless Cricket is pretty darn thin.
AG Russell ultimate Pen knife is really thin.

I'm surprized no one has mentioned the smaller SAK folders especially the classic or mini-champ.I think the thinest one I have is a WhiteWing lockback when Baily Bradshaw was making them. Its got beautiful stag scales,a wharnclif shaped blade,I believe made of CPM 3v.Sharp as you can get a blade and this thin flat ground >3" blade can cut.

AG Russell Ultimate Pen Knife is probably the thinnest quality knife in existance. Might be the smallest too, but it is a great little knife. Titanium and VG-10, hard to beat. I was just comparing them, and the blade on my Syderco Native is thicker than the whole Ultimate Pen Knife.

I wish it was a lockback instead of a slip joiunt though.

Thinnest angle, or thinnest blade ?

In both case anyway : Opinels.

David
