this is a cs karambit knife

Around here I think when someone says "cs" we think of Cold Steel as this is a knife forum. Why are we talking about the merits of a video game knife again? I mean, I could understand if we were talking about quality knives depicted in video games, but this?

It appears, and I don't know why I felt compelled to try and make sense of this, that the knife in the OP is a United Cutlery Honshu, like JeremaihWeaver pointed out.

AND the same knife is used in some video game called Counter Strike.

I have no idea:

1) Which came first;
2) Who is the one manchengtools is upset at...the who said it looks like a toy;
3) What evidence manchengtools has to back up his claim that it "...it's built with high quality steel and ergonomic handle, comfortable grip, sharp edge,lightweight..."; or
4) Why spyder59 jumped in the thread just to take a shot at Danke42.

4) Why spyder59 jumped in the thread just to take a shot at Danke42.

FWIW, I don't think he was taking a shot at Danke42. I think that was a Larry the Cable Guy impression.

Otherwise, the knife/post that launched this thread feels like a riddle I can't decipher.

Imma go out on a limb here and assume the OP is attempting humor. Which was a complete success, considering how many jumped in to chastize him/her. We are already on the second page of a thread that really should have got a glance and disappeared.

Lol. Simmer down guys.

In reference to 3, the video game knife is in a video game, it's made out of pixels, not any sort of steel. And if he's talking about the United Cutlery version that does exist, it's made out of like 7Cr13MoV or AUS-6 or something like that, not exactly high quality steel. Mine didn't come with a particularly sharp edge, either.

someone said it looks like a toy, really?i don't think so,it's built with high quality steel and ergonomic handle, comfortable grip, sharp edge, lightweight.

only logical answer I could think of...

Ah. Here's my Rocky impression: Yo Adrian!

Sounds just like him! I do a great Bogart too.

No.

I am also curious as to what the basis for the the claim "...sure,cs [Counter Strike] knives are good reference for us to make the better knife." is.

See, and this is where we reach a whole new glorious level of meta. I think on one hand, CS is supposed to mean Counter Strike, but later in the post CS is meant to play on our assumptions that "cs" is "Cold Steel." I think.

I know two things:

1. Cold Steel makes their own karambit-style knife that seems much better than this one if you're into that sort of knife, and
2. As an avid admirer of quality knives and good video games, I've never seen a single video game knife that I ever wished I could buy in the real world.

It's only page one for me

It is some sort of riddle or google translate didn't work correctly.

How often does jumping into threads to tell people to simmer down work if your not a supermod

And cheng is on the wrong forum.

That depends on the games you play. Most knives from FPS (first person shooters) look like mtech crap. I believe one of the Call of Duty iterations had an Emerson Karambit which I can get behind.

There are some stuff I would love to have. See below.

Mehrunes' Razor was my favorite knife in Skyrim. Unique looking and with its own unique sheath. Very cool vid.

Yeah I was thinking FPS knives but sure, a lot of RPG knives are cool, though I still wouldn't pay a lot for replicas.

OK! I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and go with that too! :)

In a much earlier version of Counter Strike the SOG Seal 2000 was featured.

OK. So ...

Counter-Strike (frequently abbreviated as CS) is a series of multiplayer first-person shooter video games, in which teams of terrorists and counter-terrorists battle to, respectively, perpetrate an act of terror (bombing, hostage-taking) and prevent it (bomb defusal, hostage rescue).

(Wikipedia)

So, while playing it, you can run around with a rainbow karambit?!? That really doesn't sound very tacti-awesome. Rainbow?!? Are you fighting zombie My Little Ponies?

And what about light discipline? Every high speed operator knows the importance of that!

Did not know that, very cool!

But yeah, don't get the rainbow thing... I mean they make the black "tactical stealth" version... no idea why they wouldn't use that one... Heh.

Rainbow knives are for fighting zombie ponies and pokemon.

Now Rainbow Six is very tacti-awesome!

I agree Redlynx most replicas are wall hangers.

I love that vid because hes an actual knife maker creating it not just some mass produced pieced. He'd get my money.

From RedLynx: 2. As an avid admirer of quality knives and good video games, I've never seen a single video game knife that I ever wished I could buy in the real world.

Pretty sure one of the not too distant Call of Duty games featured a Randall Model 18.

Yeah! Doesn't make sense at all to real life pro operators like you and me!
