I have recently experienced the joy of swinging a machete through hanging water vines. That metalic 'ting' sound after it rips through the vine makes me giggle like a little girl.

It does sound pretty nifty, doesn't it? I trimmed a tree by doing a few inches at a time just to hear the sound quite a few times.

High school buddy just called, said he's en route to Idaho from Wisconsin and he's willing to buy the booze and gas for a 5 day backpacking trip. I'm stoked, Salmon River Brewery's seasonal cream ale is on tap and it'll be nice to hit the hot springs and spend some time above 10,000 feet!
 
Has anyone heard from ' The amazing drew ' ? My wife was asking me yesterday when she is going to get the knife we won in his competition but he seems to have vanished. I know he was loooking for a new job, I just hope all is well with him !:confused:
