we will just call it , the gehazi collection , after trying to gather up my knives and take pictures I was overwhelmed with embarrassment at the level of my depravity , this thread will bear witness to that malignancy which so plagues me: the fevah

It has taken me a great deal of time to muster this and im just reserving the spot while my camera battery charges , I have no display cases or fancy keepings( as they deserve) , this is a pile of knives, but im setting them all out so I know what I have , I really don't know what happened but I think i bought a lifetime's worth of khukuri in one month.... this is pretty much a total conversion of my pistol into knives .. I will start with my collection before I came back to HI this past month looking for custom work, and hearing that it would be a long wait, I started buying blems and deals of the day and things just ... just got out of hand.... !!!!!! the first group of knives is my brother's , mine and my father's plus gifts i reclaimed from two people lol ( because I decided the knives would be better home with me after 12 years of having them with someone else( i know i know, its a problem)-- this will include some non khukuri knives I bought back in the day as well , a cheap 1910 tourist kris and a sumatran something, anyway are goes!

pictures soon , may be new post or edit into this one, im gonna figure out how to post ones that aren't broke.

Gehazi - whatever it looks like. I am going to want to outdo it one day....

In my dream home I have already drafted a room the size of the master bedroom as the "Armory."

I suspect however.. We may be looking at a small house with you.

well I cant get it to work but i filled photobucket with all my knives
its prett ridiculous
I made a khukuri mandala

now im going to fall over

Theres a taste folks....
Gehazi's link shows them all.

Now he just needs to hire a khukuri polisher. :D ;)

Holy crap, dude. You appear to have a serious case of OCOKD... Obsessive Collecting of Khukuri Disorder. :p

Enough weapons to raise your own personal army. Nice collection! Do you use any of your knives in the field?

the last two are india khukri i bought at flea market when I was 10 ! so they were kinda a joke :P-- thanks so much karda for posting , and yeah the whole thing is in the photobucket-- all my knives are in the first picture , in the blade pile! the two with wooden sheathes I have determined to be pretty much authentic probably from early 1900s maybe late victorian tools, the one in the big ox hide sheath is an actual victorian armory khukri ( was actually bought by some guys after the death of the royal family , I suggest seeking one out if you want, they are only like 100 bucks but obviously abused .)
My sumatran sword is probably from early 1900s or late 1800s -- the kris is a early 1900s tourist kris, the sheath was wildly popular , no less cool but still not a true kris.
one of my first groups with the antique pistol and the axe, those are all my first khukri's the 1999-2001 set -- the pictures after cover my ebay purchases of antique khukuris and then the rest are all Himalayan imports : I have not counted them but I think I bought over 20 knives in the past few weeks. My wallet and relatives look at me with a clear "wtf" look in their eyes.
I WILL NOT STOP -- one day I too will construct a good wall like bawanna or a competent armory room as stated above, I also have a collection of ww2 and ww1 rare guns ( mostly dummy displays with original parts) , I have a very large militaria collection since its the accumulation of my own, my father's and my brother's collections--- eventually I do want the full "armory " so all of this can be properly displayed.

It took me 4 hours to move and picture those things, and I was really busting my ass lol it was a huge amount of work, and I realized how ridiculous I had become .

@mrflip- yes I use my first sirupati , a bura I think at 21 inches , I use both my new KVLUKs since purchase for all my brushwork , when I had chickens and guineas I used my father's durba ang kola for the respectful decapitations, I never ate them it was just for 3 birds who got sick in the 10 years I had them, other than that every one of them is just to be admired. my non-india khukuris are oiled often and polished to appease the blade spirits, i light incense where they rest.

and this is all because I came here looking to blow money on customs ! and ended up just using alllll of that money for cool stock and dotd( which in the end I think is more beneficial to HI )
but right now Im waiting on 3 new knives I ordered. ;x-- also ignore the felines in pictures

Ummm WOW, you sir are my hero, that is one hell of a collection. I have no words but WOW.

I do need a sheath for one of my old khukri a dui chirra with some designs on blade ( think its a tourist blade from the 40s or 50s but not sure)-- the sheath it came with of good oxhide I stole for my victorian royal armory khukri ( email me pugs with some prices for a sheath)-- and thanks everyone , Im glad you arent ridiculing me for being ocd on khukuri but instead validating my entirely overboard collection.

DUDE!!! We asked for it! Beautiful. That there could be used for HIs catalog or "The Gehazi National Museum of Khukri"! Gotta go..my keyboards shorting out (drool...droool...)!

That is incredible Gehazi!!

And keep it up. Maybe you WILL need a separate house for all of your beautiful iron...

I will probably post some of my dad's rare WW 2 and WW 1 stuff in cantina when I start getting it down for insurance purposes, we have a very rare tank shroud mg 34 converted for infantry with the rare bakelite stock, its really beautiful. a browning dummy and a nice vickers dummy -- the old man is the reason I am an ocd collector --- bawanna's organization really makes me envious, I spent all my time and money on just acquiring, but i need a damn knife shop /armory to maintain and enjoy them all . so that will be a project for this year definitely. build a khukuri nursery

and yes I have enough mosin nagants to arm a militia with a khukuri , a mosin and a pistol

The first step in curing any addiction is recognizing you have one. I don't see any problem here. Your Ok, fine and dandy.

When you say wall, you mean Big Wall! Nice pile of blades.
