What is that straight one? Looks formidable!

Ugh I just got a custom... why do I read these threads....
 
post your custom omg ! -- the three straight ones I have are the manjushree sword( raj kumar) with bone and horn handle, a tarwar by bura ( with apprentices), and a tibetan sword by bura ( with apprentices)-- the one with red on the handle is a sumatran acceh i think
 
Apprentices? Thats what the dual marks mean? Wow what pieces of history. You dont see that everyday!
 
I have one I think where bura was training raj kumar -- its a gelbu special with bura's crescent and a devangari K, so I dont know for sure -- and anytime you see the kami mark with a little sun with some organized lines like a cross coming away from it that is a butter lamp I think and it means "unnamed kami" thats why so many of bura's after his heart trouble are crescent with lamp because he had other people doing most of the heavy work.

you see it on lots of sher and blades like it-- I think its when they were training new guys , but cant be certain -- mostly guessing on my part after reading the forge mark section and reading around
 
When I look at that pile o' blades, I see
kamis and sarkis feeding their
"untouchable" families. :thumbup:
 
exactly how I feel steve, and im going to double it by next year.-- will put up some more pictures tonight probably of my new salyans and some of the old practice katana and spears laying around the house ( i wonder could HI make a spear or halberd ? just the top we can make our own haft ! )

I'm not sure whether to be concerned... or jealous.

Over much contemplation... definitely jealous. If I had the income to support such a habit, I'd be right there with you.

dont have any relationships, dont have any kids and have a steady job ! and you can pine your money away on knives !( technically I sold some guns though to jump into HI with both feet, so I cant really keep up the pace I would like otherwise all the dotd would be mine ';x)

LOL crystal, and its nice to see you have it bad dirt, I really love these blades ill never stop buying them( as long as my job holds :D)- great collection
 
You should have seen my garage when I was into motorcycles. 8-10 at a time and in 23 years I've owned more than 50.
 
Your doing it right Gehazi! Its like money in the bank! If you get married and have kids or something and decide to get into another addiction. You can always sell off one addiction for another and all is cool. But if you spend money directly out of your paycheck once married then your in for an arse chewin? Keep up the good work Gehazi!:D BTW...You need a bigger table

Knew a guy who had to sell his addiction (watches) for wedding dress, cake and what not.
 
That's what I've tried to instill in my sons. Get everything you want in live before you get married. Then spend the rest of your life trying to keep it.
I've done relatively well and I'm blessed with a relatively low maintenance wife. Life is pretty decent.
