Sweet knife! Enjoy it and use the heck out of it that's what they are designed for.

Congrats and enjoy!

Though I do get a chuckle out of a "truly elite badass knife" coming wrapped in bubble wrap inside a hard case, which is wrapped in bubble wrap inside a box, which is surrounded by packing peanuts inside another box. :D

I feel like that thing needs better lockup than that. That combined with the HUGE cutout just ruins the lock. Of course, this is my own opinion but that much titanium removed for the lock-bar is unnecessary.

I agree 100% about the lock up and everything else. I hope you are happy with your knife!! Congrats!

I really dig that Sponge Bob Squarepants clip. Is that an option?

With the screws, it looks more like Kermit's face to me. Just imagine that triangular-ish cutout for the "m" as the mouth and jaw.

Wow, now I see Spongebob on the clip. That's a riot. :)

For the record, I mean no disrespect to the OP at all. I just can't unsee it after it was said.

I hate to do this on a new knife post, but I would be concerned about that lockup. That's not much real estate, and I'm sure it's just perspective, but does it have fore and aft play? It almost looks like the lock tang is contacting the frame.

Wow, lots of hating.

Good looking tank of a knife, I hope that you enjoy it.
Nice pics!

Yeah I think Medfords are cool but I just don't understand some of the things they do. 10ish% lock engagement and a huge cutout like that. The cutout is actually an improvement, used to be on the inside and take up over half the length of the lockbar.

Congrats on the Ti! I have had a T and a G that I enjoyed using as much as any knife.

Sadly mis-understood by people who have never tried one, or that know more about what you want out of a knife then you do. (Usually both)

That 10% lock up is more solid and reliable than my Insingo at 60% so don't worry about it....

Enjoy it.
Perhaps the most confidence inspiring knife on the market.

It's not the best slicer, but as you will see, it cuts very well.

If SHTF, it's the perfect knife to have in your pocket!

OP, please do not take some of our comments to heart. Even though we may poke a little fun at Medford at times, I'm sure we can all appreciate the fact that someone else takes interest in high-end knives.

Even though your style may not represent my own, I can still admire the fact that you are getting joy out of your Medford. What makes you happy is all that matters:)

It's a beast that's for sure. I own Strider, Hinderer, Chris Reeve, Benchmade, Spyderco, Tops, Bark River, SAK, Buck and a CRKT. I just love knives like you. I don't follow what's best so much because all of our tastes are so varied. I just love them! This beast is part of what I like. This will be my only MKT, but it's welcome beside the Military and the rest. Each one has a place for me. Great comments! And yes I see Kermie too!
