Well, grizzly really dropped the ball this time. i got the motor back and it makes the same noise as it did before and it a little bit worse, after they said it was repaired.
taz,i was reading a consumers digest magazine a few days ago,and they were rating a lot of different power tools.they WOULD (could?) NOT recommend grizzly's drills.they said they were to dangerous to operate,even with protection.
I say give up (try top gt yer $$ back) and go somewhere else,they might be more expensive,but you wont go through this bull**** anymore.

Always remember those immortal words,"You get what you pay for!" I know US made is a lot more expensive but see above......... I'm not trying to be a weenie but that Chinese 'stuff' just ain't a money saver in the long run.........
Well, tech guy called and said the noise was grease in the bearings and it would quite down soon, so it looks like i will keep it and see how it works. look for a review around turkeyday!
The tech guy should know that if there's so much grease that a bearing makes noise that there is an inordinate amount of heat being generated, also. I'd bet that the bearing won't quiet down but becomes worse as it wears out! Let us know...........
