Congrats to all the winners. Great job, Randy. I look forward to your post, Bob, when you carry the Official Peanut.

Yup!

I'll also add a gentle note that the knives were freely given, contributions were encouraged but not required as a qualification of entry, and a gift given is just that-- a gift.

The recipients are free to do with the giveaway knives what they will; they're theirs, now. The outworkings of the generosity so many of us have come to know and/or witness here take many forms, not always obvious or visible, and if anyone entered in hopes of being a part of this-- and added to it by mere presence-- and is thrilled to receive a knife he or she may not otherwise have gained? I'm good with that. :)

Carry on! :D

Wow, I won the Buck 119. Thanks Randy! This was a really great GAW and I was happy to participate.

I elected to receive the knife and will be sending Bob the full retail value of the knife. I chose to take the knife, because my dad gave me one when I was a teen and over the course of many years I lost it. I was feeling sentimental recently because it was his birthday and the 2 year anniversary of him passing. I somehow feel that winning the knife was connected.

Thanks again,
Joe

Very generous of you Joe. I am happy to hear that you are going to receive and enjoy the Buck. That you feel there is a connection and felt impelled to contribute is very telling of the kind of person you are. This place is made up up many different but great people.

Chris

In my excitement over the success of this fund raising event for Bob, I made a hasty and less than thoughtful statement in my post #261 earlier this evening. I have removed the statement from my post. I have apologized in private to Bob. I am offering this public apology to any and all here that I may have offended.

As I both donated a prize AND some $$, I don't feel guilty taking MrKnife up on #17, the blue mini-copperlock. :)
email has been sent.

thanks to all who made this possible and continued smoke & positive thoughts for Bob.

Congrats to everyone who won, thanks to Randy for a great GAW the benefitted Bob and thanks to all those who donated such great prizes.

Ron, no worries at all. You, my friend have a heart of gold. No one should feel any guilt at all in accepting their respective prizes. I've been blessed with many good friends here backing me in my fight. So much so, that I'm already a winner. :D
Ron has been one of my biggest morale supporters. He checks on me at least once every week. He and his wife Pam are wonderful people. You owe me no apologies buddy.
This whole GAW and fund raiser has been overwhelming for me and my family. My wife still can't believe the outpouring of generosity from one group of total strangers. I told her, they aren't strangers, they're my extended family.
Thank you and much love to all my brothers and sisters here. :D

To all that chose to receive the knives they won do not feel guilty or apologize for taking them. This was the intended purpose of the folks that donated them and why I solicited members to donate. I also believe the knives were one of the reasons this fund raiser was so successful. This place called the porch is no doubt the most giving place on the internet and it's members are some of the finest folks you will find anywhere. I have been humbled to see the generosity here during this GAW and how everyone has rallied around Bob in his time of need. And it is not just this isolated occasion but it is expressed everyday, sometimes in the post and sometimes in the practice of gifting knives. Just yesterday I received two knives from mrknife just because of his big heart and desire to share with others. A few weeks ago one from Bob and a couple of months ago two from Jack Black. It is not just me but so many here have received knives from other members for no other reason than the folks that gave are among the most generous I have ever heard of. I just hope I can in some way be worthy to be counted one of all the fine folks here on the porch.

Again Thank you all for what you have done here.

Sarah very well said.;)

Bob It's the least we could do, offer a knife or make a contribution but above all send feelings of solidarity and kindness.

Warmest regards, Will

manage to run out to the post office during lunch, knives away! thanks for donating to Bob everyone, and thank you for participating
