This One Is For BigBiscuit WINNERS SELECTED SEE POST #240

Here I am! I'm sorry, I've not had access for a few days. Wow, I won something!....a first. Of course even better is to see you Bob, home and feeling better. I feel not only lucky to have won such an interesting looking knife, but also honoured to participate in such a spirited thread as this, with so many great people, achieving great results. Thanks to all, and to you Bob, I wish you the very best moving forward.;) Peace & love.

Finally, could jump today at the PO just before closure (20h30) to send the Pradel. I had to wait a good 1/4 of an hour because the postmaid did not know if I could send it (prohibited as a weapon or whatever)... She lost time and did absolutely not minfd the queue forming behind me. maybe she wanted to do extra time?
Usually I don't take the green custom sticker and nothing happens. For once that I wanted to do thing squarely, I was punished! Next time I'll do as always done , and it works!:D

Shenanigans.

Yesterday, I was surprised by a packet in my mailbox from mrknife, containing this:

A brief note indicated that he and the chosen winner 1066vik had conspired to send me this blue knife(!)-- or something like that. [1066vik's generosity ignited yet more generosity in mrknife, who has outdone himself.]

I'm humbled, guys.

...

Well done, 1066vik and mrknife!!;)
I really appreciate the "misdirection" in the first quoted post, a key ingredient in successful shenanigans, I think. :D

1066vik perhaps intended to misdirect(?), but was thwarted by mrknife's ongoing generosity.

Just so you all understand: 1066vik asked mrknife to send me the knife he'd won. (:o)

mrknife sent me a different mini copperlock, and sent 1066vik the knife he'd won.

Whoa! Those shenanigans are too convoluted for me, but I admire them nonetheless! :D
So even one of the "co-conspirators" got shenaniganized by mrknife's adept use of double-dealing, double-crossing, and duplicate knives!!
Outstanding! :D:D
Thanks for sharing the tale, Sarah!

I seem to spend a large part of my life in the post office! A lot of the small post offices have been shut down here over the past ten years, and so there are always big queues. I had a large parcel to send to Bob, but I always make sure I have the customs label already filled out, so when they ask about the contents, I can just tell them I already the sticker listing them. Since hardly anyone knows what a slipjoint is (which there are no restrictions on posting anyway), and even fewer people can read my handwriting, it usually works OK ;)

Nice! :) Class act folks

Jack you have a heart of gold. Seems like every other day you are involved in the gifting of knives.

Thanks Randy :o You're a star for organising this :) Great show Porch Folk!

I can't write "slip joint" that would mean something totally different in French...
I wrote "canif camping" that's the canif that set a problem. The young lady was over-zealous. I tried to explain there's the law and the spirit of the law, she just gazed at me!. Next time I won't ask for the sticker (you have to ask for them) and send as a plain letter as usual. She confirmed me it is legal. Or I'll check with the other postman! For the moment the parcel is waiting in NY.
