Haven't really spent a lot of time out here this week; but this is the post of the week. So glad to see a smile and a thumbs up! All the best to you and yours; furthermore, may you have an amazing New Year.

Happy New Year, Big Biscuit

Randy Sir- for all who look at this and may have lost touch as to what is happening - can I get you to explain what is happening here on this Thread? - Just in case some others missed the beginning of the Thread and not know the awesome and friendship behind this amazing Thread.

Many thanks and Happy New year to all - especially Bob for a start to a great new Year where everyday will hopefully get just better and better.

For those that may not know.
As most of you know Bob Bendell (BigBiscuit) is battling cancer. He has been out of work since January and now the doctors have only given him 6 to 12 months. This has left Bob and his family strapped financially.
This is to raise money for him through donations from our members here.
Although you do not have to give to be awarded a knife if your post number comes up I strongly request you please donate. This is for a good cause to help one of our finest contributing members.
Please Donate through Paypal to rbendell357@verizon.net

Your post # is your entry. This will run until February 1 at which time winners will be selected by random number generator. If your post number is selected and you do not wish to receive the knife we will send it to Bob so he can sell it or keep it whichever he wants to do. You must have at least 20 post somewhere in Blade forums prior to today (12/23/2015) with the majority of them somewhere besides Gaws to participate although you can donate and are encouraged to. Good luck to all and thank you in advance for your generosity and compassion.

Please see the first post for the knives that are up to win.

Donation sent. I hope you can get to the Rendezvous this year Bob. May this year be your best my friend.

Just got my beautiful Moki, kindly donated by AFAustin, with all proceeds to Bob!!
I am over the moon with the knife, and will treasure it.

All the best

Paul

That's a beautiful knife Paul, great pics too :)

Hope Customs didn't sting you too much :(

Cheers Jack, yes it is a beautiful knife, in pristine condition!
The customs man was their usual money grabbing self im afraid. I would have rather had given the money to Bob.

Thank you so much fellas. You guys are incredible. I haven't posted much lately as things have been pretty rough. I'm told that progress is being made though. Just not easy. :(

Tremendously happy to hear that there is progress being made Bob. Very very good news. I know exactly what you mean about it being tough. But just keep your chin up and know that we all love ya and we're here for you!

Bob, thanks for posting an update. Glad that along with all the bad stuff there is progress being made. We're all pulling for you, that's for sure.

Paul, great pics. So glad that my little Moki arrived safely in the U.K. and that you are pleased with it. And thanks for jumping in to help Bob.

Andrew

First I want to thank everyone for your generous support. This thread has proved the porch to be the greatest place on the internet. So far we have raised over $3300 for Bob and that number is still growing.
We will be selecting winners for this GAW in two weeks. Many of you have expressed that if you win that you do not want the prize but would rather it be sent to Bob. Also there is a lot of multiple posting by members including myself. So instead of trying to wade through this and eliminate those who have said they don't want to receive a prize and those that have multiple post I spoke to Bob this morning by phone and we agreed to handle this as follows.

1.) All winners to be selected by random number generator. matching the selected number to the post number is how the winners will be selected regardless of number of times you've posted or if you want to receive a prize or not even if it is Bob or myself that win. If I win I will donate the knife or the amount the knife is valued at to Bob his choice. Only one prize per person will be awarded. If two of your post numbers are selected you will receive only one prize and another number will be selected. If you win you will receive the knife listed in the same order as the number selected. Example; If your post number is the 6th number selected you will receive the 6th knife listed.

2.) At this point there will be a choice to make.

(A.) You can receive and keep the prize like any other GAW
(B.) If you want the prize but do not feel right about just taking it. You can receive the prize and make a donation to Bob for it.
(C.) You can have the donating member sell it on the exchange and with all proceeds going to Bob.
(D.} You can have it sent to Bob and he can do whatever he wants with it.

Thank you all again and good luck.

about option C, Randy, still willing to ship the three knives allotted to you or a trusted member with gold status to sell as well. again I will not take anything if selected. thanks!

That all sounds fair Randy. Thank you for undertaking this effort.

Bob, hope all is well bud!

Glad there is some light at the end of the tunnel, hang tough my friend
