Ah, thank you sir! Tradewater(hallowed be thy name) told me about soaking it upside down in linseed oil and what it would do, but I didn't understand why it works.
I'm amazed you remembered that. Moment of clarity?

Just downloaded and watched the 4th season of justified.
Damn...
My suit tailor is finally coming back to America. He comes to the US every year, but only hits St. Louis every other year. It's been two years since I got my suit from him now. It's pretty impressive that it has lasted this long.
It's also nice that he doesn't work in asialand. But he comes over from England. It may not be US-Made but it is damn near it!
I have never blued a knife, but you look good in Gold, GarnetandBlack.
Thanks for supporting the forum.

swabby!
How idiot-proof is blueing a knife? Dare I give it a shot on the actual knife i want blued or should i abuse some practice knives first?
Sometimes you just get lucky. Found this Frictionite 00 at a flea market yesterday for two bucks. Kind of the holy grail of hones and it's hard to describe the edge they'll put on. Competition lumberjacks use them on their axes.
