Damn. I wish I had the time to peruse flea markets.:D

For the curious, could you give us an idea of the edge it puts on?
I have never heard of Frictionite before, a little quick research shows they are commonly used on razors.

ETA:
Just looked at the 'bay. Looks like they are asking 250 bucks for a hone similar to the one you found.

Nice score.

Here's an old thread on BF about them. They make a sharp blade unbelievably keen. The shadow will cut you :D

Not really, he just took life by the hips and humped it into submission.

Anyone have a Gregory Baltoro? Was thinking of getting one. Gets awesome reviews, but it is a heavy pack at 6 lbs.

Gregory makes a great pack but at that weight I would and have steered clear. If I was you I would go with Osprey. Check out the Aether. It comes in either 60 or 70 liter and is less weight that the Gregory. If you really want to drop weight and keep the size near the same check out the Osprey Atmos 65. This is the pack I use right now for my backpacking trips and I have had nothing but good luck with it and other Osprey packs.

Hope this helps.

Any of you ever had a package by USPS marked as "Undeleverable as addressed"? I would go to the PO and pick it up but I'm not up for a 2 mile walk in 15 degree weather. And their closed. I hope they don't send it back to the shipper tomorrow before I can get there.

Was checking those out too. They also have the Aether 85. 88 liter in the large size. (5400c.i.)

Do you feel that you that you will need all that volume? I am not sure what your plans are for the pack. For 3 season backpacking for a few days 88 liters is in my opinion overkill and the weight is far too much. Full on winter backpacking is another story.

Perhaps not. I wish there was a local place that sold these. I think a place in Springfield carries Osprey, but not the Aether series.

Todd,

You certainly didn't piss me off, it takes a lot more than someone pointing out I made a mistake to do that... I'm married after all. I made an inappropriate post, which I regret. Sorry it tainted your generous contest, but I'm sure the fantasy BK14 mod give away thread will get back on track.

I just had this happen to me - means the address on the package is incorrect/ incomplete. Call your post office first thing in the morning, tell them your package is showing undeliverable, and they should be able to either let you pick it up or have your carrier deliver it the next day.

At least that's what worked for me.
