This weeks project

Thanks Stacy and to everyone who contributed to this thread, I feel like I am walking away with some good useful knowledge this time

And I thought I would put up a few more pictures using better light so as to gain a little contrast (highlight those brass pins ;0)

I may grind the bolsters and handle a little more, to thin them down, but I really don't want to lose the edgy feeling i'm shooting for, I may round the butt edges a little more but I was trying to emulate the rear end of a Z06....a tweek here and a tweek there and it should be a great knife when I am finished

I really like it and want to see it with the oak finished. To my tastes, a liner would be nice, brick red, against the bolster too. Well done

liners are definitely on my list of things to do, i'm pretty new at knife making and I'm afraid if I throw every thing into the mix at the same time it will end up looking like a cluster f#@^

Not sure where in MI you are from(might have asked already, but my memory sucks) but there are a few hammer in's this year in MI. Kevin Cashen is having one in Hubbardston the 20-22 of this month www.cashenblades.com, and also Randy Haas will be holding one in Oct. in Marlette, north of Flint. Hopefully we will see you at one, bring some knives, Looks good :)

There is not a bad thing about that knife. A few things could be improved, but it is a nice knife as is. I have a feeling that your knives will really be something when you get the fit and finish things worked out.

Thanks stacy

Every knife since I started has been of higher quality then the last, and the time I spend getting each part just right is getting shorter, the tension level is also coming down, making knives is almost pure enjoyment now ;0)
