This is the thread that I want to house the discussion of the videos, the current one and questions and suggestions on upcoming ones. We are going to do a very basic intro video this Wednesday. This is a starting point for us. We are going to introduce Fiddleback Forge, tell about our history, and introduce a few knives. Once we get this far, we have a consultant that will come in and teach us to do multi camera videos. He will help us setup the cameras and sound equipment, then teach us the editing. After that we will be doing them ourselves. What I hope to see is improvement week to week. I'm excited about this. Phillip has been studying since last week. We're going to have fun with it.

So if you have any questions post them here and maybe we'll use them on future videos. Thanks!

Don't overdo it on the first one. Tackle only a small bit of that docu-drama. Perhaps just an intro on who's who. I'd also recommend a "knife of the week" segment -- you could post on Thurdsays and sell the featured knife on Friday. Built in, but also extracted as a stand alone. Cover design philosophy, specifications, and maybe some samples of in use.

Some shows:
- Knife sharpening
- Knife care
- Leather benders
- Heat Treating
- Handle shaping
- Why you don't do orders
- What it means to create a business
- How handles are selected and assembled.
- Blade Grinds and why

You make hand made knives, your show should show you making knives and how each is unique, but still every much as good as any production blade.

I suggest designating a person for crowd control .. cause you know Allen is going to 'photo-bomb' your video at some point.

Just sayin ...

I want to see action, drama, sexual tension, and, if it comes down to it, violence. At the end, perhaps, a sense of catharsis and maybe even a few tears.

But ... you know... I am sure you will work it out!

Will watch out for the Wednesday video.

Wow. All great ideas. Thanks Swo.

I hadn't thought of banning Allen from the filming area. I'll look into it.

Well, you might be expecting a little much. LOL.

I was kinda hoping for a Ga. "Game of Thrones" :D with more emphasis on knives, but sounds like you have a much better plan. All the best to you with this and going forward even more. Lots of great thoughts coming out from the Fiddleback family and they're all there to help.

Well "Outlander" has the Sgian Dubh.............

This could be BIG!

Looking forward to it.

Don't forget to introduce an artificial deadline so you can ratchet up the false drama! :p

Given the cast, I am going to put my foot down and DEMAND no nudity... unless you get that woman with the dragons from Game of Thrones.

Seriously, I look forward to seeing your first installment. I am sure it will be great!

Margaery Tyrell is more my style, but either would work. Haha.

Looking forward to the videos Andy and the rest of the Forge.

LOL. I'm glad you have high regards for our ability to improve.

Do you need extras? How do I sign up to be the bum on the bench?

Not yet at least. But maybe someday we can have guests.

Now we're talking about reality TV? Hmmm. Might need those extras afterall...

This post is approved. No nudity. Got it.

True that. Daenerys Targaryen please.
