I was in a local Walmart today and found two of what I would assume are this years holiday specials. One is a 112 packaged in a tin with a Hoyt Buck commemorative etch on the blade. The other is two knife set which contains a 372 Muskrat and a 380 Mini Trapper, both with jigged red bone scales, also packaged in a tin. I realize the slip joints are offshore production but they do make a nice looking set. Both tins were priced at $25. Happy Holidays to all. :)

And they don't sell 'em on-line :( :(
I'm a loser baby. So why don't you kill me?

...Hmmm...A "tinned" 112 with "etchings" huh??...I wonder how easy the "etchings" could be removed or if I'd want to remove 'em ??...I also wonder why Wally's doesn't show any Buck knives on it's web-site ??...

I do recall reading somewhere here that you could that...IIRC. "C" being key...the mind is the first to go ya know.
Try the POS SEARCH function. HA HA HA HA HA...

...Not totally in love with "etchings" goose...I did see a 110 blade that had the "Duke" with an eagle and a scroll that looks pretty nice though...The 531 I have has stuff etched on it too I guess...OH alright...I'll leave the "etchings"...LOL...Gonna stop at our local Wally's place tomorrow if I'm feelin' okay and see if they have any of those 112's...Bet they won't though...like with the 110's...seems they only get them just before the holiday...

I'll check a few of the local wally's on this side of the bay!!!! Last year these did not get put out until the week before xmas. I wonder.......when will the price get reduced......LOL.

I was in my local Walmart tonight and didn't see the tin's. I did notice that they finally put out a new knife display which included quite a few new Bucks. A couple of the new one's I noticed that weren't there before were the Rush, Adrenaline, and Omni Hunter.

None in my backwater Wal-Mart today either. The high school national honor student stocking the shelves (pretty young girl) said they hadn't received any yet... :(

(Well, they can't all be MacDonald rejects)

...Nothing in the Wally's near me yet but we're about 50 miles north of Tampa and they consider us in the "boonies"...As I also suspected, the young kid working in the area where the knives are kept looked at me like I was from Mars when I asked about "tinned" 110's or 112's from Buck for the holidays...

My 4.0 National Honor Society girl knew what they were (she's no dummy!)...she just hadn't seen any yet...but she did add that this Wally World was slower than most...

Edit: Counter display not updated, but the tins last year came with their own cardboard display stand...

Well there are none in the central CA wally stores yet :( . The guy behind the store had no idea what I was talking about. They also had updated the counter display!!!!!! Now they have a knighthawk;).....well....I did not buy it yet.....But I will.....:).

None in the 3 walmarts in NE WI, either, but the display was updated.
Nice looking Omni's I think I will need to buy a couple...

now the question is do you go ahead and buy one now so you know you'll get one or gamble and wait until after christmas for the big discount, if they have any left. either way i've got to get one of those. later, ahgar

Buy one now... No buy 2 now...
When they go on clearance buy a handful more.
Great for presents or just to horde :D
