Those favorite knives that we’ve lost

Using a slip has helped me retain knives in loose pockets. I used to have them fall out of short pants pockets a lot until I started using slips. Had never heard of a slip till I came to this place :)

Case Select 6232 Texas Jack in brick red bone. My wife got that for me for Christmas when they were new. Had to drive an hour or two away to a Case master dealer to pick it up.

Meant a lot to me considering she remembered me saying I wanted it (months prior) and then going through the trouble to obtain one.

We moved a couple states North in 2015 and I haven’t seen it since. Still hoping one day I’ll open some long forgotten box and find it.

I can't find my all-time-favorite - a TC Barlow. It's loss after many years drove me to the forum to replace it, and man, have I been surprised to learn how hard they are to get!😲

This is all I have left. Sits on the shelf to taunt me. Gosh, I sure hope it surfaces ...

After reading some of these I am glad mine had no sentimental value to it but I miss it and find myself every day looking for it over and over. I think maybe it’s time I give up maybe it will find me.🧐

Car/truck seats or worse train seats cos you can't go back and search them  really are a kind of Bermuda Triangle for knives. Do they have an EVIL MAGNETIC force???o_O

I ISKRA I'm glad your diligence paid off Žan :)

Oh my, I can't even imagine if that happened on a train! A most terrible thought. Luckily our railroad system is quite ineffective, so I pretty much never use it ... 😅

I've lost:
Schrade Old Timer 25OT
Case 63090 Med. Stkmn. Caribbean Blue
Case 64090R Junior Scout Amber Bone
Victorinox Alox Harvester
Victorinox Alox Electrician

I bought an ugly Slimline trapper cheap on eBay with pink covers. I dyed the covers till they were a rich red, and also had to file the tang cam so the blade would sit properly and open straight. Much improved, I carried this knife daily or nearly so for around a year, until it vanished on a work trip. I still suspect it ended up under the seat of my boss’s car, but one can’t push the issue if he said he didn’t see it… and he’s since sold that car. Guess I won’t be seeing that particular knife again.
